India A off to a steady start against England XI

India A have made steady start in the first hour of the tour match against England XI at the Brabourne stadium.

India A are 53 for 1 in 14 overs.

Mukund, who edged a few past the slips with the new ball, has blossomed after that nervy start to reach 41 from 47 balls with the help of nine boundaries.

Ajinkya Rahane got off the mark with a boundary and is batting on four from 18 balls.

Murali Vijay was the first wicket to fall when he was run out for seven by Bresnan, in the eighth over.
