November 27, 2017

SL 145-8 (41 ovs) vs India 610-6 | Scorecard

Given how Sri Lanka have collapsed the umpires have decided to extend the morning session by 15 minutes with just two wickets needed for victory.

Lakmal swings Jadeja down the ground over the fielder at mid-off for a four before he slaps one through the off-side for two runs. He inside edges the last ball for a single through the leg side to keep strike.

Lakmal hits Ashwin through the off-side for two runs before he takes one. Chandimal then cuts a short ball behind point for three runs before he takes a single from the fifth ball to keep strike.

Chandimal then goes after Jadeja as he lofts him over the leg side for a four but India won't worry with the wickets.

Lakmal also swings his arm as he comes down and looks to loft Ashwin down the ground but he has not made a clean connection. However, he manages to beat Umesh, who is halfway down at long-on, as he runs backward but can't get to the ball.

Chandimal also chances his arms as he slog sweeps Ashwin over midwicket, clearing the fielder who is also halfway down, for another boundary.

With the two batsmen attacking the spinners, India bring back Ishant. And he nearly claims a wicket as Lakmal hits one straight back but the tall pacer is unable to hold on despite getting his hands to it and drops an easy return catch.

He gets a leading edge off the next ball and once again the ball falls in empty spaces and goes over the covers for a four.

Lakmal takes a single before Chandimal steers it behind point for a four to bring up his second fifty of the match.
