Windies pacers restrict India to 251

Indian innings comes to an end as Andre Russell rattles Ishant Sharma's offstump for nought.

 

A tame end to India's innings considering the fact that at one point India looked set for 280-290. In the end they were bundled out for 251 in 47.3 overs.

 

Virat Kohli top-scored for India with a brilliant 94, while Rohit too contibuted with a vita 57.

 

For West Indies Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers with 4-35 off his 8.3 overs.

India hoped Yusuf Pathan to fire on all cyclinders but that was not to be. After nearly missing out on a wicket, Russell finally has his man as Yusuf edges one to Baugh.

 

A short wide delivery from the pacer forces Yusuf to smash it over point, but only manages to get an edge to the keeper for 30.

 

One ball later he cleans up Mishra's stumps. India 246-8 after 46 overs.

Meanwhile news coming in Shahid Afridi has been slapped with a Rs 4.5mn fine by the PCB.

 

Both Rohit and Kohli have added 68 runs for the fifht wicket and are looking good for more.

Good news for Windies is Russell is back in the attack.

 

Kohli walks across the stumps -- the ball thuds into the pads, an appeal there-- umpire says no.

 

Rohit meanwhile, hits straight to mid off to Adrian Barath and yes and no situation there.

 

Kohli misses out as Windies misses an easy run-out chance there.

 

India 109 for three. Kohli is going strong on 50, along with Rohit Sharma, who is on 11.

Kieron Pollard provides the breakthrough as he manage to induce a fine edge off Manoj Tiwary's bat.

 

Tiwary poked at a widish delivery from Pollard and gave an easy catch to Carlon Baugh for 22 -- timely breakthrough for Windies.

Sammy continues -- Tiwary smashes him out of the park. First six of the match. An overpitched delivery on the pads and Tiwary is more than happy to help himself.

 

Sammy follows it with a wide delivery. Tiwary then runs one down to midwicket for a single.

 

Kohli at the other end, chips down the track and smashes a boundary through covers. 50-partnership up between the two.

 

India were 73-2 after 15 overs.

Russell limped off the ground -- looks like he hurt his knee, while diving for a ball at the boundary.

 

Kohli takes a single on the off side. Manoj Tiwary meanwhile turns one neatly off his pads for a boundary. 50 up for India.

Kohli, who is timing the ball really well picks one on the legside for a couple.

 

Russell comes up with an effort ball -- short and over the batsman's head. Umpire Ian Gould, who looks a bit baffled calls it it a no-ball.

 

Final bowl off the over is dot. India 39-2 after 10 overs.

After Parthiv, it's time for Shikhar Dhawan to walk back after he knicked one to Sarwan at second slips.

 

West Indies have kept things tight and this time Roach bowls a short delivery closer to the body. Dhawan goes for an upper cut, but can't clear Sarwan.

 

Dhawan was out for 11.

Andre Russell replaces Sammy from the Southern End. Russell has been terrific for the Windies in the series, both with bat and ball.

 

Russell is right on target from the first ball. And, as we speak, Russell removes Parthiv Patel, who is caught at square-leg by Anthony Martins for six.

 

Parthiv was done in by a pacy short ball; the left-hander went for a pull, but doesn't get the timing right and gave a simple catch.

The pitch looks a peculiar one, with lots of cracks on it and a darkish look to it. Might assist spinners in the end.

 

Roach has been keeping a good line as the first three balls has been short and testing the left hander.

 

Dhawan off the mark, clipping one on the fine leg. Patel too gets off the mark in a streaky way -- a single through third man area.

Welcome to the live update of the fifth and final ODI between West Indies and India at Kingston, Jamica.

 

West Indies have won toss and have elected to bowl first. Adrian Barath is back in the side and he will replace Danza Hyatt, who has had a disappointing series.

 

As far as India is concerned Praveen and Badrinath get a game off -- Shikhar Dhawan and Vinay Kumar are back in the side.

 

Both teams are looking to end the ODI series on a high, setting it nicely for the Test series.
