Just when Gambhir and Kallis looked to have revived Kolkata after the Morgan blow, Ashwin struck again as he removes Gambhir.

Gambhir looks to attack the off-spinner, chipping down the track miscuing the shot and Suraj Randiv takes an easy catch at point.

Gambhir was back in the hut for 19 off 16 balls.

Kolkata were 39-2 at the end of seven overs.

19:09

- Live Scorecard

Gambhir is in as he chips down the track and flicks it down the leg side for a boundary off Morkel.

Next up a leading edge from Gambhir, falls safely between the fielders.

Kallis now chips one over the bowlers head and again the ball falls short of the fielder.

Indications that scoring would be tough once the ball gets soft.

KKR were 21-1 after three overs.

Ashwin to bowl the second over as he starts off with a wide.

Next up he castles Morgan as the left hander goes for a cut short. The ball is too close to cut as the left hander chops it back on to the stumps.

Back after the break, as Eoin Morgan and Jacques Kallis walk out in the middle.

Albie Morkel has the bowl in the hand. Not a big score that the Chennai team is depending but there is something in it for the bowlers.

He follows it with a wide delivery.

At the end of first over Kolkata were 8-0.

So going has been tough for Chennai as Kolkata restricts Chennai to 114-3 Badrinath played a fantastic innings under pressure finishing with 54.

Morkel gave him good company as the duo added64 runs for the fourth wicket.

Morkel was unbeaten on 30.

For Kolkata, Iqbal Abdullah was the pick of the bowlers with 1-15 off his four overs.

Chennai has some good slow bowlers and with the wickets not an easy one to bat on, it might just turn out to be a competitive score.

18:17

Right with five overs to go and with MS Dhoni still waiting, its time for the fireworks to begin.

In the previous over of Jaidev Unadkat, Chennai did get some vital runs scoring 11 runs off the over.
