Kochi thump past Rajasthan by 8 wkts

Kochi Tuskers Kerala buldozed their way into a convincingeight wicket win over Rajasthan Royals.

After dismissing Rajasthan for a platry 97, Brendon McCullum and Brad Hodge smashed the bowlers to all corners of the park to hand a easy win.

Kochi reached the target in the seventh over.

In the process, Rajasthan did manage to pick two wicketsthat of Jayawardene and McCullum.

Mahela Jayawardene falls after Kochi were off to a great start courtesy some no balls from the Shaun Tait.

Jayawardene flicks a Jacob Oram delivery towards the big boundary line as he was caught at midwicket by Chavan.

But McCullum seemed to be in great touch as he smoked two sixes of Oram in the same over.

At the end of two overs Kochi were 38-1.

It was a really poor performance from the visitors as none of the batsmen never really looked in

EarlierHodge sends Jacob Oram back in the hut as castles the Kiwi for nought.

A slightly quicker ball, sliding on as Oram misses the ball completely, as the ball knocks the off stump.

One ball later he had his man as Pinal went for another big hit -- this time top edged it to Rao at long-on, simple chance.

Shane Watson falls to Parameswaran to sink Rajasthan Royals further. Watson who looked to be inominous form tearing into the young left-arm spinner PrashantPadmanabhan,was castled by the pacer for 20.

Ajinkya Rahan's wicket further dented Rajasthan as Sreesanth had him leg-before-wicket after being hitfor a boundary previous ball.

Sree is bowling well almost send Ashok Menaria back. Menaria playing for the drive got an inside edge.

But then Menaria then smokes Sreesanth for a maximum. At the end of six overs Rajasthan were 32-3.

Sreesanth strikes for Kochi now after RP Singh removed Faiz Fazal.

Sreesanth in his second over found an edge of Rahul Dravid's bat and was neatly taken by Owais Shah in the slips.

Rajasthan were 21-2 after three overs.

Earlier, RP Singh provides the first breakthrough as he send Faiz Fazal back for just 10 runs to his name.

Fazal went for a shot across theline, missing the ball completely -- a loud shout follows as upmire Tucker had littlehesitation in raising finger.

Kochi Tuskers Kerala wins the toss and have decided bowl first against Rajasthan Royals in Indore.

Both teams are still in this, theoretically, but the one that loses today is out of the tournament.

Kochi have made two changes to their side, while Rajasthan have made an outrageous six changes to their side.

Kings XI Punjab scripted a comprehensive 29-runs victory over Delhi Daredevils at Dharamsala.

Chasing a competitive 171 for win, none of the Delhi batsmen looked in touch as theyfinished with 141-8 in 20 overs.

David Warner top-socred for Delhi with 29 runs, While Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers with 3-16.

Punjab gets a big breakthrough as James Hopes skies on to Gilchirst off Piyush Chawla.

Hopes goes for a big heave, top-edges one, where Gilchirst takes an easy catch.

Earlier, Valthaty now gets in action with the ball as he sends Irfan Pathan back in the hut for just three.

Irfan drags a short ball from Valthaty towards deep square-leg where Mandeep takees a need little catch.

Delhi will be hoping for skipper James Hopes to fire on all cyclinder.

At the end of 15 overs Delhi were 98-6.

The left hander went for a sweep shot, only to top-edge it as Dinesh Karthik takes a nice running catch.

Naman Ojha and David Warner have put up50-runs stand as Warner turns one for a single over square leg.

But just as we speak Naman Ojha edges one to Gilchrist for 28.

Delhi Daredevils have made a slow start to their run chase as Punjab bowlers have kept a tight check on the openers.

Barring the wides and oddsingles they haven't really got going. A madien from Praveen Kumar has added pressure on Delhi batsmen to fire.

Brilliant innings from Shaun Marsh (47) and Paul Valthaty (62) have powered Punjab to 170-6 in their 20 overs.

It's been a brilliant display by the Kings XI Punjab batsmenconsidering that the fact that here was purchase from the wicket.

Delhi were poor on thefield giving too many boundary balls as well as not holding on theircatches.

Irfan Pathan was the pick of the bowlers with 3-28 off his four overs.

Delhi are right back in with two new batsman in the middle. At the end of 15 overs Punjab were 126-3.

Next up Marsh targets the shorter boundary at midwickets and smokes it for a maximum.

One ball later Marsh chips down the track and hits it for another six. Sreeram drops one short and Marsh smashes it for another boundary.

Final bowl of the over as Marsh launches into it for the third six of the over.

Big over as 25 runs come from that over. Punjab were 115-1 after 13 overs with Valthaty on 60 off just 46 balls, while Marsh is on 41 off 23 balls.
