Mumbai pull off a dramatic win over KKR

It was a remarkable last over as far as Mumbai Indians were concerned as they came back from dead to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets.

With 21 required off thelast over, Franklin led the charge for Mumbai as he smashed four consecutive boundaries as Ambati Rayudu slams a last ball six to seal a dramatic victory for Mumbai.

With the Mumbai win, Chennai stay on the second spot.

Bhatia at it again as he now sends Sachin Tendulkar back for 39. He is having a ball quite literally as Bhatia bowls another slower one Tendulkar mistimes it, slicing it to Gautam Gambhir at point.

At the end of 13 overs Mumbai were 97-4.

Rajat Bhatia strikes once again as he now removes in-form Rohit Sharma after he edged one to Sreevats Goswami.

Rohit was done in by a slower one as he slashed hard at it, getting a thickish edge to Goswami.

Mumbai were 91-3 after 11 overs.

Rajat Bhatia into the attack and he strikes off the first ball as send Harbhajan Singh back into the pavillion.

Bhajji tries to slap a short of a good length deliver only to be holed out over long-on by Manoj Tiwary for 30.

At the end of nine overs Mumbai were 75-2.

After an excellent first over, which produced 13 runs, Abdullah removes T Suman, who top-edges one to Pathan at extra cover.

Suman charged out to dispatch the young Abdullah over midwicket, getsa thickish edge to Pathan at extra cover.

At the end of two overs, Mumbai Indians were14-1.

A brilliant half-century from Jacques Kallis and useful contributions from Manoj Tiwary (35) and Yusuf Pathan (36) helped Kolkata Knight Riders post a competitive 175-7 at the end of 20 overs.

Mumbai bowlers were on their money initially but soon lost the plot by spraying around a bit.

Malinga was the most economical bowler for Mumbai but it was AbuNechim, whowas the most impressive.

Fanklin into his fourth over as he is welcomed with a biggie from Kallis.

Franklin was short this time round as Kallis rocks on the backfoot and smashes it over midwicket to complete his half-century.

Next up again Kallis pounces on a slower delivery and smokes it over extra-cover, another six.

Kallis is in the hitting zone as he tries to go after Franklin, but this time he hits it straight to Ray Price. Kallis 59 included four boundaries and three six.

Doeschate, meanwhile flicks one fine over fine-leg for another boundary. At the end of 18 overs, KKR were 156-5.

Franklin provides the important breakthrough as he sends dangerous Yusuf Pathan back for 36.

Yusuf was done in by a slower one as Yusuf tried to whip it over square leg -- muscued it and Nechim at deep square leg takes a good catch.

At then end of 16 overs KKR were 124-4.

After the early stutters, Kolkata Knight Riders have pulled things back thanks to good partnership from Yusuf Pathan and Jacques Kallis.

Abu Nechim comes in as Yusuf drags one for a single on the on-side. Kallis meanwhile, strokes on through the off side to give strike back to Yusuf.

Yusuf then rockets one to extra cover boundary -- nobody moved.

At the end of 14 overs, KKR were 121-3

Pollard runs in, bowls a widish delivery to Yusuf, who pounces on it and puts it for a boundary.

Next up a deft touch for another boundary. Mumbai Indians are a bit out of sorts.

Kallis on the other hand smashes one through the off side for the third boundary off the over.

KKR were 96-3 after 11 overs.

Manoj Tiwary counter-punches have put Mumbai on the backfoot as Kieron Pollard comes into the attack.

Tiwary into the act again as he late cuts the pacer for a boundary. Next up Tiwary misses out on a leg stumpish delivery -- only a single this time.

Kallis on the other hand creams one on the off side for a single. Tiwary again plays a late cut this time straight to Bhajji, who quickly rockets it back to the stumps.

A loud appeal as the ball hits the sticks directly and the replays show that Tiwary is just short of his crease.

At the end of nine overs KKR were 68-3.

Change of ends for Abu Nechim as Gambhir chips down the track and smashes him for a maximum over extra cover.

But the bowler has a perfect reply as he castles Gambhir much to the delight of Mumbai players. A straight length deivery, as Gambhir tried to play it wide of mid-on missing the ball altogether as the ball crashes into this off stump.

Manoj Tiwary comes in as he times anice full delivery through mid-on forhis first boundary.

Couple of ball later, Tiwary guides one through third man as the ball rockets to another boundary.

KKR were 30-2 after four overs.

Sreevats Goswami is walking on his way back after he was involved ina horrible mix-up with Jacques Kallis.

Kallis plays one on the leg side, Goswami was ball-watching as Kallis runs past him.Goswami had crossed Kallis when the throw came in to the keeper.

At the end of second overs, KKR were 9-1.

Kallis and Sreevats come out in the middle as Abu Nechim has the ball in his hand.

For all practical purposes Mumbai can't be No.2, while KKR will almost certainly finish second if they win.

Mumbai Indians have won the toss and have elected to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sachin has made couple of changes to the side, bringing in Ray Price and Abu Nachim, while Kolkata are going in with an unchanged side.

A dominant display from the Royal Challengers Bangalore meant that the hosts went on top of the table.

Such was the dominance fromBangalore that Gayle struck an unbeaten 75 off 50 balls to lead a thumping eight-wicket win.

Gayle is alsotop of the charts in the batting department with the Orange Cap. Ashwinwas the pickof thebowlers for Chennai with 1-18 off his four overs.

Chennai finally manage to get the breakthrough as Morkel sendsVirat Kohli back in the hut for 31.

Morkel, who took a hit off Gayle on his knee, bowled a poor delivery down the legside, but Kohli hit it straight to Ashwin at short fine-leg.

Bangalore were 80-2 after 10 overs.

Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli have steadied the ship so far with a unbeaten 50-run stand so far.

Both the batters have counter punched the bowlers to put them on the backfoot. Only Ashwinlookedlike taking a wicketeach time he came intobowl.

Chris Gayle is at his devastating best as he smashed Dough Bollinger for a maximum.

Kohli too has been in good form as he times one through the off side off Ashwin, but a brilliant piece of work fromMorkel keeps it tojust one.

At the end of five overs Bangalore were 34-1.

R Ashwin strikes the first blow for Chennai as he had AB de Villiers stumped for nought.

Defending a small total, Ashwin tossed the ball up as de Villiers went front an exapnsive drive, missing the ball as Dhoni does the rest.

Virat Kohli comes into the crease as he creams one through the offside for the first boundary.

Bangalore were 6-1 after the first over.

A brilliant counter-attacking cricket from skipper MS Dhoni ensured Chennai finished with 128-8 after 20 overs.

Dhoni made an unbeaten 70 off 40 balls, which included three boundaries and six sixes. It was a clinical display from the Banglore team untill Dhoni show began.

For the home side, Zaheer Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 2-19 off his four oves.

Vettori now snaps Bravo after the West Indian was adjudged leg-before-wicket to an arm ball.

Chennai have struggled througout the innings as Albie Morkel walks in the middle. At the end of 16 overs Chennai were 82-6.

So after a short revival, Chennai lose Wridhimaan Saha for 22.

Saha looking to up the tempo was caught in the deepmidwicket by Luke Pomersbach off Virta Kohli.

Bangalore bowlers have kept it tight so far. But just as we speak, Dwayne Bravo plays it late for another boundary.

At the end of 14 overs, Chennai were 68-5.

Daniel Vettori into the attack now as Wriddhiman Saha smashest he first ball for a boundary.

He then takes a single giving the strike back to Badrinath. Next up Badri tries to clear the pressure and tries to smash Vettori out of the park.

But Badri has got elevation not the distance as he is caught in the deep for naught.

Chennai sink further as they were 27-4 after seven overs.

Zaheer back for his thrid over and now he has his Indian teammate Suresh Raina walking back.

Dream spell for Zak as Raina goes for a pull shot, doesn't time it and in the end lobs it to Kohli at point. Raina back in the hut for just four.

A wicket-maiden for Zak as Chennai were 17-0 after five overs.

Time for Sreenath Arvind to get into the act as he now sends Murali Vijay back for just six runs to his name.

After being hit for a boundary off the ball earlier, Arvind bowls one outside off stump, catching anedge of the batter, whereDe Villiers takes a nice catch behind the stumps.

At the end of four overs Chennai were 17-2.

Zaheer Khan into his second over and he STRIKES!!!!

After a brilliant first over, where he just gave five runs, he had Hussey walking back off the first ball of the second over.

Zak bowls full length delivery close to off stump, Hussey goes for a cut, only to drag it back onto his off stump.

Suresh Raina, who comes out in the middle, creams a boundary through off side to get off the mark.

Chennai were 12-1 after three overs.

So Zaheer Khanhas the ball in his hand as Mike Hussey takes strike for the first ball.

First up Hussey turns one for a single to long on. Zak starts with a yorker. Murlai Vijay too gets a yorker but he manages to squeeze out it.

An appeal but umpire Rudi Kortzen says no. Zaheer has been on the mark.

At the end of first over Chennai were 5-0.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and have decided to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings.

Bangalore are on the second spot, and are going in with a full strength side. Zaheer Khan is back in the side. Chennai are going in with an unchanged side.
