Live Scorecard:

As he reached 28, Sachin Tendulkar completed 15, 000 Test runs.

Yet another landmark in an already glittering career.

India has made 140 for two after 40 overs, needing a further 136 to win.
15:47
Live Scorecard:

Dravid and Tendulkar, the two veterans, are combining well for their team at the moment.

The two have so far put together 20-odd runs for the third wicket. More importantly, they have settled down well.

India has reached 116 for two after 27 overs.
15:21
Live Scorecard:

Darren Sammy has provided West Indies their second wicket, cleaning up Virender Sehwag.

The Delhi opener made 55, exactly what he had made in the first essay.

Sachin Tendulkar has come out to join Rahul Dravid.

India 97 for two after 20 overs, needing a further 179 to win.
15:10
Live Scorecard:

Virender Sehwag has registered his 29th Test fifty.

It is his fifth against West indies and the second in this match following his 55 in the first innings.

India has reached 90 for one after 17 overs.
14:42
Live Scorecard:

Marlon Samuels has struck for the West Indies, getting Gautam Gambhir (22) out leg before.

Rahul Dravid comes out to bat.

India 51 for one after 10 overs.
14:20
Live Scorecard:

India has progressed to 38 without loss in their second innings at tea.

Virender Sehwag is batting on 20 and Gautam Gambhir is unbeaten on 17.

The hosts require a further 238 runs to win.
13:50
Live Scorecard:

Delhi boys Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have ensured India a good start in the second innings.

The home side has reached 18 without loss after three overs.

The required target is 276.

Live Scorecard:

West Indies has finally been dismissed for 180.

R Ashwin had Ravi Rampaul (18) caught by Pragyan Ojha at deep midwicket, to record a memorable six for 47 on debut.

India need 276 to win on a fast deteriorating Kotla wicket. A tough ask, one must admit.

12:57
Live Scorecard:

Darren Sammy played a good little cameo.

The West Indies captain made a 37-ball 42 and put on 33 runs for the ninth wicket, at almost a-run-a-ball, with Ravi Rampaul.

However, just when he looked dangerous Ashwin cleaned him up for his fifth wicket of the innings.

The visitors have reached 157 for nine (in 52 overs), an overall lead of 252.
12:31
Live Scorecard:

Ashwin has struck a fourth time. And on this occasion it is a huge wicket.

The spinner has trapped Chanderpaul leg before. Chanderpaul's 58-ball 47 was the best effort by a Windies batsman in the innings. But his departure ensures India will have a relatively easy target to chase in the fourth innings.

West Indies 124 for eight after 46 overs, an overall lead of 219.
12:26
Live Scorecard:

Darren Sammy has so far batted better than expected and is providing Chanderpaul the support he requires.

They have put on 36 runs for the eighth wicket so far.

West Indies have reached 120 for seven after 45 overs, for an overall lead of 215.
11:35
Live Scorecard:

Chanderpaul has realised the need to score runs at a quicker pace. With few wickets remaining that seems the only way the visitors can hope to post a decent total for their bowlers to bowl at.

The veteran first hits Umesh Yadav for two boundaries in an over and then gets another boundary off Ojha.

He is unbeaten on 39 as West Indies reach 109 for seven at lunch (42 overs) for an overall lead of 204.
11:20
Live Scorecard:

All West Indies hopes now rest on Chanderpaul again. To his misfortune, he just has Carlton Baugh for company.

Not much can be expected from the remaining batsmen, including captain Darren Sammy.

Pragyan Ojha has been introduced into the attack in the 36th over. However, it is Umesh Yadav who secures India a seventh wicket, having Baugh (7) caught behind.

Baugh had put 21 runs for the seventh wicket with Chanderpaul and was the last recognised WI batsman.

The visitors have made 86 for seven (after 39 overs), an overall lead of 181.
10:41
Live Scorecard:

Firts innings centurion Shivnarine Chanderpaul has come out to bat and he starts with successive boundaries off Umesh Yadav.

However, West Indies get another shock when R Ashwin dismisses Darren Bravo (12) for a second time in the match. On this occasion the young Bravo is out leg before as his team collapses to 63 for five.

And there is more shock in store for the visitors when Ashwin cleans up Marlon Samuels (0) in the same over.

West Indies reduced to 63 for six.
10:29
Live Scorecard:

Umesh Yadav has struck!

The speedster cleaned up Kirk Edwards for his first Test wicket.

Edwards' 80-ball 33 was inclusive of four hits to the fence. But his dismissal came at a time when West Indies could ill-afford it.

The visitors have made 53 for four in their second essay, for an overall lead of 148.
10:01
Live Scorecard:

Ishant Sharma has given India an early breakthrough in the third morning by having nightwatchwan Fidel Edwards (1) caught behind.

Darren Bravo comes out to bat and he is dropped at extra cover by R Ashiwn, off Ishant, off the fourth ball he faces.

West Indies has reached 34 for three after 21 overs, for an overall lead of 129.
