Tait, with three wickets in the penultimate over, has made the difference. The Australian speedster, with figures of five for 32, ensured a tense last over for Bangalore.

RCB chase down 215 off the last ball and qualify for the semi-final, the second Indian team to do so after Mumbai Indians.

It is the biggest ever chase in the Champions League T20, beating the previous mark of 184 for five by Cobras vs RCB in 2009.

Redbacks lose despite a century and a five-wicket haul.

Live Scorecard:

Harris, who starred with the bat for Redbacks, is proving to be expensive with the ball.

Kohli hits him for successive sixes followed by a four, the first of the sixes helping the batsman reach his fifty.

Dilshan then takes over, hitting successive boundaries, the first helping him raise his fifty. Harris' third over costs Redbacks 25 runs.

Shaun Tait is back to bowl in the 15th over. And Ferguson has dropped Kohli!

The 100-run partnership for the second wicket comes up in the over. But Kohli's miss doesn't prove costly as Tait has him caught by Borgas off his last ball.

Bangalore 165 for one after 14 overs.

A maximum off the fourth ball helps Ferguson reach his fifth T20 fifty, a well-deserved one for sure. He celebrates the same with another boundary as 17 runs come off Aravind's third over, that is 45 off three overs for him in total.

Nannes back to bowl in the 17th over and Ferguson welcomes him with a maximum over long-off. A couple from Harris in the same over brings up the 100-run partnership for the second wicket (off just 68 balls).
