A spectacular 123 not out by David Warner helped New South Wales Blues to a formidable 203 for two against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first semi-finals of the Champions League T20 at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Friday.

It was the first time that any batsman had hit back-to-back hundreds in T20 cricket - with the Australian having scored a ton against Chennai Super Kings in NSW's final group game as well.

The 24-year-old's 68-ball knock was inclusive of six boundaries and a mammoth 11 sixes, his effort making him the highest scorer in the format and the one with most sixes in the innings and the tournament as well.

Warner put on 146 runs for the second wicket with Daniel Smith (62), the partnership coming off just 87 balls being the highest partnership for any wicket in the format.
