Royal Challengers were off to a flier chasing 140 to win the Champions League Twenty 20 against Mumbai Indians in Chennai on Sunday.

Dilshan started the proceeding with a crashing coverdrive for a boundary -- it was a no-ball as well.

Three balls later it  was Gayle's turn to smack one to boundary ropes to get off the mark .

Abu Nechim's over too was expensive as Dilshan smashes consecutive boundaries.

At the end of three overs Royal Challengers were 29-0.

Mumbai struggled on a slow pitch and the run out at crucial intervals didn't help their cause either.

Just when Mumbai were hoping for Kieron Pollard to play a significant role in putting up a total, he is on his way back to the pavillion for just two runs.

Pollard tried to smash Vettori out of the park but got a leading edge straight to Kohli at long off.

Next up Harbhajan Singh recieves a quicker one --- looks plumb in front but umpire Dharmasena thinks otherwise. Lucky escape for Bhajji.

Again Vettori bowls a full delivery -- a loud appeal-- this time umpire raises his finger. Replays show that the bowl would have missed the stumps.

At the end of 17 overs Mumbai were reeling at 118-7.

It's another lucky break for the Royal Challengers as Suryakumar Yadav walks back to the pavillion after being run out at the non-striker's end by Daniel Vettori.

Vettori did a brilliant piece of fielding off his own bowling as the breaks the stumps quickly to find Yadav short of his crease. Yadav was back in the hut for 24.

Then Mumbai lost James Franklin, who once again was involved in a mix up. Pollard plays one on the leg side calls for a couple.

But Franklin is a touch slow to turn for the second and throw from Virat Kohli was quick and accurate to find Franklin short of his crease.

At the end of 15 overs, Bangalore were 109-5.

Rayudu looking to clear the in field, could only manage to hit it straight to Chris Gayle, who was stationed at the edge of the circle. Rayudu's miserable run in the Champions League ended with a 21-ball 22.

Suryakumar Yadav comes in the middle and cracks a brilliant boundary off the first ball. At the end of 10 overs Mumbai were 71-3.

It was a tame dismissal in the end, but RCB won't complain. BLizzard strikes one to mid off and takes off, without looking at the partner at the other end.

Kanwar is struck to his crease at the other end as the Aravind throws the ball to the wicket-keeper to create a simple dismissal.

Rayudu comes out in the middle and gets going immediatly. The wicket-keeper batsman uses Nannes's pace to help himself to a boundary.

Mumbai were 15-1 after 2 overs.
