Live Scorecard:

India take the batting powerplay in the 36th over, with just 13 runs required to win.

With his ton, Kohli also becomes only the third batsman with more than 1000 runs in ODIs this year, after Jonathan Trott and Shane Watson.

And it is Trott who drops him at deep midwicket off Bresnan when he is on 101. Kohli expresses his gratitude with his 15th boundary three balls later, a shot of extra cover which helps raise the 200-run stand for the third wicket.

In the next over he smashes Dernbach to the fence to ensure India an emphatic eight-wicket win, with a whopping 80 balls to spare.

Kohli remains undefeated on 112 and Gambhir on 84 and their unbroken third wicket stand is worth 209 runs.

India take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Virat Kohli races to 99 with an exquisite cover drive off Dernbach, his 14th boundary.

He completes his seventh ODI hundred with a single two balls later. It is his second hundred against England after the one in Cardiff last month.

India 112 for two after 20 overs.

Live Scorecard:

Steven Finn has bowled well so far sans any reward. Bresnan, on the other hand, has got himself a couple of wickets.

Gambhir helps himself to three boundaries in Finn's fifth over. Jade Dernbach replaces Bresnan (5-1-24-2) in the attack in the 11th over.

It is a double bowling change for England as Swann replaces Finn (5-0-28-0).

India 61 for two after 12 overs.

Live Scorecard:

Parthiv's (12) luck finally runs out.

Bresnan has him caught by Cook at mid-on in the first ball off his third over.

Gautam Gambhir comes out to bat.

Rahane (14) has a couple of big hits, including a maximum off Bresnan. However, the bowler has the last laugh having him caught by Dernbach.

Live Scorecard:

England has managed just 237 in the second ODI at Kotla.

The visitors again failed to bat out their quota of overs, managing to play only 48.2 overs.

R Vinay Kumar was India's most successful bowler with figures of four for 30.
17:23
Live Scorecard:

Umesh Yadav eventually provides India the much-needed breakthrough, having Samit Patel (42) out leg before.

Patel's 53-ball knock was inclusive of two hits to the fence and an equal number above it and he put on 86 runs for the sixth wicket with Bairstow thereby lending the English total a semblance of respectability.

Tim Bresnan comes out to bat. However, Jadeja hands England a double blow, having Bairstow (35) caught by Kohli in the deep.

England 211 for seven after 43 overs.
17:12
Live Scorecard:

Jonny Bairstow and Samit Patel have put together a good little partnership here for the sixth wicket.

The two have added 78 runs in under 16 overs.

England 199 for five after 41 overs.
16:43
Live Scorecard:

With two new batsmen at the crease, the scoring rate has expectedly slowed down.

Bairstow, in particular, is looking clueless against the spinning ball. He has, however, managed to hit a boundary off Yadav.

Jadeja has been brought back into the attack in the 31st over, replacing Ashwin (7-0-31-1). He concedes just two runs.

Praveen Kumar is brought back in the next over, replacing Yadav (5-0-26-1). He concedes just two runs.

Patel eases the pressure somewhat by smashing the second ball of Jadeja's fifth over for a maximum.

England 152 for five after 34 overs.
16:18
Live Scorecard:

Umesh Yadav has taken the big one.

The young bowler has had a well-settled Pietersen (46) caught behind. KP's 55-ball knock was inclusive of three boundaries and two sixes but his dismissal has come at a stage when the visitors could ill-afford it.

With two new batsmen on the crease, Jonny Bairstow and Samit Patel, the visitors are in big trouble.

England 125 for five after 27 overs.
16:08
Live Scorecard:

It is spin from both ends as Ravindra Jadeja replaces Umesh Yadav in the 18th over. He concedes three runs.

England manage just 27 runs of the bowling powerplay.

However, Pietersen does ease the pressure a bit with back-to-back straight sixes off Jadeja, the first one helping raise the England hundred as well as the 50-plus partnership for the fourth wicket.

Yadav is brought back into the attack in the 24th over, replacing Jadeja (3-0-19-0). However, it is Ashwin who provides India the breakthrough trapping Bopara (36) leg before to end a 73-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

The visitors have made 121 for four after 25 overs.

15:44
Live Scorecard:

India has opted for the bowling powerplay from the 16th overs onwards.

Umesh Yadav has been handed the ball, replacing Vinay Kumar. Bopara welcomes the new bowler by slamming the first ball to the midwicket fence. Two balls later he repeats the feat, on this occasion through cover point.

The final ball also is hit to the deep square leg fence as 12 runs come off Yadav's first over.

R Ashwin is introduced into the attack in the 17th over, replacing Kohli (3-0-7-0). He concedes six runs first up, with Pietersen getting a boundary.

England 80 for three after 18 overs.

England 75 for three after 18 overs.
15:35

Virat Kohli has come in to replace Praveen Kumar (5-1-26-1) in the 11th over.

Vinay Kumar, however, continues bowling seven overs on the trot.

England 62 for three after 15 overs.
15:17

Jonathan Trott breaks the shackles in Praveen Kumar's third over smashing the first three balls to the fence.

Pietersen hits the final ball of that over to the backward square leg fence for his first boundary as Kumar's third over costs India 17 runs - England's best over thus far.

Trott is playing beautifully here. He is dealing in boundaries at the moment, with three coming off Vinay Kumar's bowling.

However, Vinay has the last laugh, having Trott (34) caught behind of the last ball of his fifth over.

England 48 for three after 10 overs.
14:41

R Vinay Kumar strikes in the fifth ball of his first over, having Craig Kieswetter (0) caught by Virat Kohli at first slip.

England have lost both the openers without a run on the board.
