The frustration of not having broken through in the first 10 overs has made Rajasthan captain Rahul Dravid hand the ball to Brad Hodge.

The ploy has worked, the Australian striking with his fourth ball, having Sangakkara (44) caught by Yagnik.

The Deccan captain's 32-ball was inclusive of five hits to the fence and one over it and he put on 94 for the opening wicket with Dhawan.

Daniel Christian is promoted up the order and comes out to replace his captain.

A lucky boundary by Dhawan helps the visitors get past the 100-run mark in the 12th over. Another couple in the next ball helps Dhawan reach his fifty.

Deccan Chargers 105 for one after 12 overs.
16:44
Scorecard:

Siddharth Trivedi is handed the ball in the seventh over. He concedes six runs first up, including a boundary to Dhawan.

It's a twin bowling change for Rajasthan as Brad Hogg replaces Botha (2-0-18-0) in the attack in the 18th over. His otherwise good first over is spoiled by a last ball boundary by Dhawan.

Dhawan has upped the ante in the last few overs and this opening partnership is frustrating the home side to no end.

Deccan Chargers 83 without loss after 10 overs.
16:25

The visitors have as many as three changes, the most notable of them being JP Duminy replacing Cameron White. Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Tanmay Mishra.

It is explicable as they are yet to register on the points table.
