Irfan Pathan picked up his second five-wicket haul in One-dayers as India romped home with convincing 20-run win over Sri Lanka in the final ODI.
After putting up a stiff total off 295 for victory, Pathan along with Zaheer Khan and Ashok Dinda ensured that Sri Lankans never got the start they were looking for.
Although Jeevan Mendis and Lahiru Thirammane did try their best with fighting half-centuries but couldn't seal the issue for the hosts.
Irfan picked up 5-61, while Zaheer finished with 1-53.
Lahiru Thiramanne looked all set to take Sri Lnaka over the line but failed to do so courtesy of a brilliant fielding from Virat Kohli.
Thiramanne, who had tonked Zaheer for a six and a boundary, struck another delivery on the rise and took off. Jeeven Mendis at the other end, was ball watching as Zaheer lobbed the ball back to Dhoni, who completed the formalities.
Sri Lanka were 204-6 after 36 overs.
Ashok Dinda now gets into the act as he dismisses Dinesh Chandimal for 8.
