Yuvraj Singh is fortunate to survive a leg before appeal from Anderson, replays clearly indicating the batsman got lucky thanks to BCCI's stance on DRS.

He responds with successive boundaries off Swann. Tendulkar also helps himself to successive boundaries off Anderson to become India's highest scorer against England and help his team get past the 150-run mark in the 53rd over.

Yesterday former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said "when a batsman is not having a good run, the pitch has to be good.' This Eden wicket is a good betting wicket.

Let's see if Tendulkar can make the most of it.

In the meanwhile, the home team loses Virat Kohli (6), James Anderson having him caught by Graeme Swann at second slip.

However, it is Panesar who provides the visitors another breakthrough, cleaning up Pujara (16) with a perfect arm ball.

Panesar has kept a tight line so far but has failed to make an impact otherwise.

Gambhir and Pujara are putting together a good little partnership here, buoyed by the fact that there's no help for the bowlers whatsoever.

However, just when things looked good, a terrible mix up leads to Sehwag (23) getting run out.

India lose their first wicket at 47.

It is Gambhir at fault. He didn't bother to look at his partner.

Cheteshwar Pujara comes out to bat.

Sehwag gets into the act with a boundary off Finn. It is an exquisite shot that goes right past Kevin Pietersen at point.

He repeats the feat off Anderson a few overs later.

So far it looks like a flat wicket which should help the spinners in the last two days. Seems Dhoni has got it right with the coin. Hopefully the team will vindicate his decision.

It is spin as early as the eighth over, Monty Panesar replacing Finn (3-0-16-0). Gambhir welcomes him with a boundary through cover even as six runs come off the spinner's first over.
