Finally, against the run of play India strike with the wicket of Trott. And it is Jadeja who gets a wicket on his debut as Trott is bowled for a patient knock of 44 from 133 balls, having hit seven fours.

Trott offered no stroke but Jadeja foxed him with the arm delivery that came in sharply and crashed into the off-stump.

Trott and Pietersen helped England rally after the two early wickets with a 86-run partnership from 39.1 overs for the third wicket.
