England 300-7 (138 ovs) vs India

Sharma has a huge appeal for LBW turned down by umpire Dharmasena and quite rightly so as the batsman was struck outside the off-stump.

After a few quiet overs Swann decides to break the shackles as he lofts Jadeja into the stands over the leg side for a six, the first of the match. If you are still awake this was also the first boundary of the session.

Swann and Root have put on 50 runs from 118 balls for the eighth wicket as England continue to build their first innings total.

Root then sweeps Chawla from outside the off-stump behind square on the leg side for a boundary to bring up England's 300.
