India 146-4 (73 ovs) vs England 330

Kohli and Dhoni have taken India safely through to lunch without any hiccups. The hosts reached 146 for four in 73 overs, having added 59 runs in 32 overs.

Kohli curbed his natural attacking instincts and showed exemplary patience to reach 46 from 155 balls, while Dhoni also batted with caution to score 31 from 103 balls.

The duo have so far added 75 in 41.2 overs for the fifth wicket to bring India back into the contest. They still trail England by 184 runs with six wickets in hand.

The England bowlers struggled to make any sort of impression in the morning as the wicket continued to be slow and denied the bowlers any assistance, both to the seamers and pacers.

Anderson bowled a lively first spell in the morning session where he went past the edge a few times but other than that there was nothing.
