Electing to bat frst, Rajasthan could only muster 162. Mumbai then romped home with 12 balls to spare.
Dwayne Smith and Sachin Tendulkar put on an unbeaten 163 runs stand for the opening wicket to lead the visitors to victory.
Smith made 58-ball 87, while Tendulkar made 58 off 51 balls.
Dwayne Smith's brilliant 34-ball 50 has put Mumbai on a winning course as the openers have put on a century stand -- their first in IPL 5.
Tendulkar has played his part, but Smith didn't allow the spinners to settle in smashing Ajit Chandela for consecutive sixes.
Siddharth Trivedi did manage to get the batsmen out off his own bowling -- only to be ruled out courtesy off a no ball.

Mumbai Indians are off to a quick start -- courtesy of their new opening combo of Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Smith.
Smith has been the aggressor in the innings so far smacking two boundaries and a six already in the 15 ball knock.
Sachin Tendulkar on the other hand is taking his time in the middle and is getting assistance from Rajasthan bowlers too who are bowling wides.

Rajasthan were off to a slow start after they had lost openers for not too many.
But Watson and Binny shared a crucial 53 runs stand for third wicket to ressurect Rajasthan's innings.
Owais Shah used the long handle to good effect giving impetus to the innings with a 24-ball 28.
Shane Watson is the latest victim as he falls playing a huge shot. Pollard the benificiary as Watson tries to smack one out of the ground -- didn't quite catch it in the middle of the bat and was caught at wide mid long on.
Rajasthan now suddenly have two new batsmen in the middle.
At the end of 15 overs, Rajasthan were 106-4.
Rajasthan Royals lost their thrid wicket as Stuart Binny falls after a quick fire 30 off just 17 balls.
Binny looking for a single -- barged right into Pollard, who used his footballing skills to good effect as the ball rolled and kissed the stumps, finding Binny short of his crease.
Royals were 91-3 after 13 overs. Watson is on 35, while Owais Shah is on 3.
Stuart Binny and Shane Watson have steadied the ship somewhat after losing the openers for not too much.
Binny was severe on Harbhajan Singh smacking him for 22 runs off his second over.
Watson at the other end carved Dwayne Smith for a maximum as Rajasthan were 83-2 after 11 overs.
Watson is on 30 and Binny is on 30.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Rahul Dravid has won the toss and have elected to bat first on a slow Jaipur wicket against Mumbai Indians.
Both teams have made changes to their side. Mumbai have got Dhawal Kulkarni in place of Munaf Patel, while Rajasthan have brought in Brad Hogg in place of Johan Botha.
In the earlier match, Bangalore let it slip away as Deccan beat them by 9 runs. Deccan's win means Chennai qualifies for the play-offs.
