Delhi 1st inns: 235 all out (65.2) vs UP

Delhi's star batsmen failed to fire as they were bowled for a modest 235 in their first innings against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad.

Little known pacer Imtiyaz Ahmad stole the show for the hosts as he claimed five wickets for 59 runs in 18 overs.

Former India bowler Praveen Kumar took three wickets, including the prized scalp of Virender Sehwag, who was caught behind by keeper Khan for 25.

Gautam Gambhir also failed to get a big knock ahead of the Tests against England when he was trapped leg before wicket by Ahmad.

Virat Kohli was caught in the slips by Mohammad Kaif off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Punit Bisht saved Delhi the blushes with an attacking innings of 52 from 69 balls, having hit as many as 12 boundaries.

But Ahmad ran through the middle and lower order to put his team on top on the opening day.
