Pacer Umesh Yadav ripped through the Haryana batting order to put Vidarbha firmly in control on day one of the Ranji Trophy match in Rohtak.

Haryana were bowled out for 55 in 37.1 overs in their first innings. In reply, Vidarbha made 78 for two in 37 overs to lead by 23 runs after the first day.

Yadav took five for 18 in 13 overs and fellow pacer Sandeep Singh claimed four for 11.

Priyank Tehlan was the only Haryana batsman to cross double digits with a score of 18, while four batsman were dismissed for ducks.
