Virat Kohli (14 not out) comes out to bat and starts with a boundary off Patel.

The hosts score a comprehensive nine-wicket win and go 1-0 up in the four-match series.

India reach the 50-run mark in the eighth over.

James Anderson bowls the first over and concedes five runs. Graeme Swann shares the new ball and Pujara helps himself to a couple of boundaries in the over.

Zaheer has Bresnan (20) caught by substitute Ajinkya Rahane to end the English second innings.

Finally, Ashwin gets a wicket in the second innings.

A miscued reverse sweep by Graeme Swann (17) saw his middle stump getting rattled. 

Swann's 31-ball knock was inclusive of two boundaries and a six and he helped Bresnan put on 28 runs for the ninth wicket.

England 406 for nine after 154 overs.

Two overs later, Umesh Yadav gets his third wicket of the innings, catching Stuart Broad (3) of his own bowling.

The English wickets are suddenly falling like ninepins and there innings is in complete disarray.

Graeme Swann smashes Ojha for a six over midwicket and follows it up with a boundary off Zaheer.

Ashwin replaces Ojha (11-3-18-2 on the day) in the attack in the 152nd over. A single by Bresnan helps the visitors reach the 400-run mark.

England 402 for eight after 152 overs. 

Tim Bresnan comes out to bat.

Ojha strikes a second time a few overs later. And this time its a big one. 

Alastair Cook is bowled for 176. The England captain's 374-ball knock was inclusive of 21 fours and he batted for a whopping 560 minutes. He was unfortunate as the ball kept very low. 

For Ojha it is his fourth wicket of the innings, ninth of the match.

England 365 for seven after 142 overs. 

Pragyan Ojha eventually ends the English resistance, having Matt Prior (91) caught and bowled. 

Prior's 225-ball knock was inclusive of 11 boundaries and he helped his captain put on 157 runs for the sixth wicket. He was unlucky to miss out on a century.

England 357 for six after 138 overs.

The stumper square drives the first ball of Zaheer's second over to the fence. A single by Cook in Zaheer's fourth over brings forth the 150-run partnership  for the sixth wicket. What a stand it has been.

Another single by Cook in the next over helps the visitors reach the 350-run mark.
