England 1st inns: 77-2 (36 ovs) vs India 327

Pragyan Ojha took two quick wickets to peg back England after a good start as they were reduced to 77 for two at the tea break on the second day.

At the break, Cook was unbeaten on a patient knock of 43 from 115 balls to continue his good batting form, while Kevin Pietersen made five.

Nick Compton made 29 from 90 balls, putting on 66 runs for the opening wicket with Cook before he was caught at first slip off Ojha.

Jonathan Trott's miserable series continued when he was dismissed leg before wicket for a six-ball duck, his second duck in three innings.

Ojha turned the tide slightly in India's favour in his three over spell before tea when he took two for five in three overs.

Harbhajan Singh, playing in the Test side after a year, also bowled a good probing spell of six overs, while R Ashwin bowled 13 overs for 20 runs.

Earlier, India were bowled out for 327 in their first innings as Cheteshwar Pujara top scored with 135. Monty Panesar took five for 129 and Graeme Swann claimed four for 70.
