India 1st inns: 316-9 (114 ovs)

England have finally managed to get the prized wicket of Pujara. The right-hander was stumped off Swann for a superb knock of 135, hitting 12 fours in his 350-ball knock. He stayed at the crease for 452 minutes and single-handedly rescued the Indians after a few quick wickets on day one.

Swann was criticised for his ineffective bowling on Day 1 but he has showed his worth on the second day. For once Pujara was beaten in the flight as he stepped out of the crease and Prior completed an easy stumping.
