A boundary off Phangiso followed by a single helps Pietersen reach a well deserved fifty. However, the bowler hits back with Negi's (0) wicket.

Irfan Pathan has come out to join Pietersen, who eases the pressure with a six over midwicket off Pretorius.

Aaron Phangiso into the attack soon after the power play, replacing an expensive Nannes (2-0-24-0). Five runs come off his first over.
Morris continues with his good work, conceding just two runs in his third over. Delhi reach the 50-run mark in the 10th over.

Pietersen joins the party in Tanvir's second over hitting a boundary in front of square. He hits one more in Nannes' second over. Warner also hits a couple of boundaries in the over that costs Lions 13 runs.
However, Chris Morris makes the breakthrough in his second over catching Warner (21) off his own bowling. Warner's 18-ball knock was inclusive of four boundaries and he helped Pietersen put on 35 runs for the second wicket.

Bodi's patience though soon runs out and Umesh Yadav has caught behind. Bodi's 50 came off 49 balls and was inclusive of four boundaries and a six. He helped McKenzie put on 58 runs (off 42 balls) for the fourth wicket.
Morkel has John Symes (0) caught by the keeper off a top edge with the second ball off his final over. He is unfortunate in the next two as Umesh Yadav and Kevin Pietersen drops easy chances.
Morkel ends with figures of one for 32, expensive by his standards.
McKenzie finds the fence in the final over to finish unbeaten on 46, his 28-ball innings inclusive of four boundaries and a six.

Agarkar returns to bowl his final over. McKenzie hits the third ball to the square leg fence, the shot helping the home team reach the 100-run mark.
Agarkar concedes 10 runs in his final over, with Bodi also hitting a boundary, to finish with figures of one for 28.
McKenzie smashes the first ball of Morkel's third over for a maximum over square leg. Another couple by Bodi helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Bodi reaches 50 with another couple.

Yadav, whose first over was a wicket maiden, goes for nine in his second with Quinton de Kock helping himself to successive boundaries. He is unfortunate though as the first of those shots is dropped by Unmukt Yadav at deep midwicket.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and invited Highveld Lions to bat first in the first semi-final of the Champions League T20 in Durban.
"There's rain forecast and we want to give ourselves a chance," reasons Ross Taylor, who is captaining Delhi today.
His opposite number, Alviro Peterson, didn't seem too perturbed.
"It is about exection of our plans," he said.
Both the teams are unchanged.
