Chris Morris returns to have Pietersen (50) caught by the keeper Tsolekile.

Pietersen's 44-ball knock was inclusive of three boundaries and a six and he was the lone player fighting it out for Delhi.

Nannes takes a spectacular return catch to send back the captain for just one. 

Pietersen (on 43) is dropped in the deep by Morris, Symes being the unfortunate bowler. Naman Ojha (7) hits a six of the same over. However, the bowler has the last laugh, catching Ojha off his bowling.

A boundary off Phangiso followed by a single helps Pietersen reach a well deserved fifty. However, the bowler hits back with Negi's (0) wicket.

Delhi in trouble at 92 for seven after 16 overs.

Pietersen survives a run out attempt in the 11th over.

Dwaine Pretorious is handed the ball in the 12th over and he strikes second ball, having Unmukt Chand (9) caught by Symes at long on. 

Irfan Pathan has come out to join Pietersen, who eases the pressure with a six over midwicket off Pretorius. 

However, Phangiso has Pathan (1) caught by De Kock in the deep.

Delhi 73 for four after 13 overs. 

Unmukt Chand comes in to join Pietersen at the crease.

Aaron Phangiso into the attack soon after the power play, replacing an expensive Nannes (2-0-24-0). Five runs come off his first over.

Morris continues with his good work, conceding just two runs in his third over. Delhi reach the 50-run mark in the 10th over.

Dirk Nannes to share the new ball. A misfield in the third ball results in the first boundary of the innings, Warner being the beneficiary. 

Warner celebrates by pulling the next ball for another boundary as 11 runs come off Nannes' first over.

Pietersen joins the party in Tanvir's second over hitting a boundary in front of square. He hits one more in Nannes' second over. Warner also hits a couple of boundaries in the over that costs Lions 13 runs.

However, Chris Morris makes the breakthrough in his second over catching Warner (21) off his own bowling. Warner's 18-ball knock was inclusive of four boundaries and he helped Pietersen put on 35 runs for the second wicket.

Delhi 37 for two after six overs.

Dave Warner and Virender Sehwag open the batting for Delhi and it is Sohail Tanvir first up for the Lions.

He strikes with his third ball having Sehwag (0) caught by Petersen.

Delhi three for one after the first over.

Bodi's patience though soon runs out and Umesh Yadav has caught behind. Bodi's 50 came off 49 balls and was inclusive of four boundaries and a six. He helped McKenzie put on 58 runs (off 42 balls) for the fourth wicket. 

Morkel has John Symes (0) caught by the keeper off a top edge with the second ball off his final over. He is unfortunate in the next two as Umesh Yadav and Kevin Pietersen drops easy chances.

Morkel ends with figures of one for 32, expensive by his standards.

McKenzie finds the fence in the final over to finish unbeaten on 46, his 28-ball innings inclusive of four boundaries and a six.

Yadav bowls a good last over to finish with figures of two for 19. Good birthday gift this.

Lions manage 139 for five in their stipulated 20 overs. Delhi should have it easy.

Neil McKenzie hits the first ball of Negi's third over to a boundary between point and short third man as 10 runs come off the over.

Agarkar returns to bowl his final over. McKenzie hits the third ball to the square leg fence, the shot helping the home team reach the 100-run mark.

Agarkar concedes 10 runs in his final over, with Bodi also hitting a boundary, to finish with figures of one for 28.

McKenzie smashes the first ball of Morkel's third over for a maximum over square leg. Another couple by Bodi helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Bodi reaches 50 with another couple.

Lions 118 for three after 17 overs.

Pawan Negi is handed the ball in the 11th over. He strikes with his fourth ball, having Dwaine Pretorius caught by Ross Taylor at cover. 

The run rate of the hosts is just six after 12 overs. Bodi eases the pressure with a six over midwicket off the first ball of Negi's second over, which costs Delhi 10 runs.

Irfan Pathan replaces Agarkar (3-0-18-1) in the attack in the 14th over. Just three runs scored off what is his final over. 

Lions 85 for three after 14 overs.

Ajit Agarkar replaces Irfan Pathan (3-0-24-0) in the attack in the seventh over. He concedes five runs first up.

Yadav, whose first over was a wicket maiden, goes for nine in his second with Quinton de Kock helping himself to successive boundaries. He is unfortunate though as the first of those shots is dropped by Unmukt Yadav at deep midwicket.

Kevin Pietersen bowls the ninth over and successive boundaries by Bodi helps Lions get past the 50-run mark.

However, Agarkar strikes in his ssecond over having De Kock (11) caught by Unmukt Chand at deep midwicket.

Irfan's second over is a good one, just two runs coming off it.

Bodi eases the pressure with a boundary wide of deep square leg in Morkel's second over, one that costs Delhi eight runs. 

Petersen employs the Dilscoop to good effect to get a boundary in the first ball of Irfan's third over. The next ball is hit for a six over long-off. 

Umesh Yadav introduced into the attack in the sixth over, replacing Morkel (2-0-10-0). He strikes second ball, having Petersen (24) caught behind.

It's an epensive opening over, nine runs coming off it with Petersen helping himself to a couple of boundaries. Morne Morkel to share the new ball.

He concedes just two runs.

Lions 11 without loss after two overs.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and invited Highveld Lions to bat first in the first semi-final of the Champions League T20 in Durban.

"There's rain forecast and we want to give ourselves a chance," reasons Ross Taylor, who is captaining Delhi today.

His opposite number, Alviro Peterson, didn't seem too perturbed. 

"It is about exection of our plans," he said. 

Both the teams are unchanged.
