Michael Lumb stroked a match-winning 82 from 42 balls to guide Sydney Sixers to Champions League Twenty20 title against Highveld Lions.

It was a clinical performance from the Sixers as they first reduced the home team to 121, then the openers put on a unbeaten 124-runs stand to guide the Australian team home.

Sixers bowlers were impressive reducing the hostsfor 8-4 in three overs. Sean Symes tried his best with a half-century for Lions, but didn't get much support on the other end.

Sixers opners took their time in the middle before opening up in the later half. What's more amazing is Sydney Sixers haven't lost a single match in the series.

Sixers openers are taking the game away from home team.

Lumb after completing his half-century has decided to open his shoulders, hitting Morris for a maximum.

Another ariel borne shot as Lumb collects a couple.

Sixers soon bring in their 100-run mark with a single as they require 22 runs from 54 balls.

Brad Haddin and Michael Lumb have stitched up a 50-runs stand to put Sixers on the front foot.

Lions who were poor with the bat were poor with the ball as well as they dropped two catches and also giving boundaries off it.

Lumb meanhwile, lofts Phangiso for a maximum as Sixers are making quick work of the small total.

Looks like Sixers are walkign home with the title. Lumb then sweeps Phangiso for consecutive boundaries.

At the end of 9 overs Sixers were 79-0. Lumb is on 48, while Haddin is on 28. Sixers need 43 runs from 11 overs..

Chris Morris into the attack now.. will be some pace now as Haddin welcomes him with a boundary.

Haddin made room, going deep in his crease to hit him for a boundary.

One ball later he smashes it another boundary. Lumb rounds up the over with another boundary as Sixers were 23-0 after 5 overs.

Michael Lumb and Brad Haddin are off to a cautious start chasing 122 for victory.

Tanvir has been tough to get by, while Nannes has been unplayable. Lions would require these two to put in a huge effort if they have to have any say in the game.

Starc to bowl the fnal over as Phangiso gets a single to give strike to big hitting Chris Morris.

Morris is caught in a strange position but no harm done for Lions as he escapes with a single.

Phangiso looking to play the big hit scoops it in the air gives a simple catch to Hazlewood in the deep.

Final ball off the innings as Morris goes for a big hit, mishits it -- goes back for a couple but fails to make it on time as Lions were bundled out for 121.

For Sixers Josh Hazlewood and Nathan McCullum were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets apiece.

Sean Symes and Dwaine Pretorius have got nice little partnership going as Lions head into the final five overs.

Symes has been the steading influence for Lions, while Pretorius has been the aggressor.

Pretorius smacks Hazlewood for a maximum, while Symes sweeps him for a boundary to push the scoring on.

Pretorius in the next over smacks Starc for a maximum over point.

Symes meanwhile reaches his half-century with a single as the crowd errupts.

Lions were 112-7 after 18 overs.

Sydney Sixers bowlers continue to strangulate the Lions' batters as they fail to get the big overs going.

Tsolekile and Symes are going it at a slow pace hitting couple of odd boundaries.

But as we speak Tsolekile departs for 20, after he hit straight to O'Keefe at midwicket. McCullum picks up his third wicket as Lions lose their sixth wicket.

Lions 73-6 after 13.3 overs.

Jean Symes and Sohail Tanvir look to steady Highveld Lions after they were reduced to 8-4 in just 3 overs.

Tanvir has so far hit couple of crisp shots, while Symes has been quite happy to rotate the strike.

But just as we speak, Nathan McCullum removes Tanvir, after he caught him right in front of the stumps for 11.

Lions now have lost half their side for 32 in 7 overs.

Josh Hazlewood into the attack now as Quinton de Kock defends it straight back to the bowler.

Next up de Kock swings one leg side gets a outside edge -- the ball flies to third man, where O'Keefe takes a blinder.

O'Keefe makes huge grounds and dives to his right to take the catch.

Three balls later Hazlewood has experienced Neil McKenzie on his way back after sking one to Ben Rohrer for a DUCK!!!

Nathan McCullum to open the proceedings for Sixers.

Gulam Bodi makes his intentions clear and smokes him for a maximum.

Next up Bodi goes for a sweep, gets a top edge -- giving an easy catch to Ben Rohrer at the edge of the boundary.

Lions 7-1 after 0.4 overs.  

Sydney Sixers have won the toss and have elected to bowl first on a good placid wicket at the Wanderers against the Highveld Lions.

Both teams are playing an unchanged side.
