Zimbawe reach the 100-run mark courtesy four over throws. But soon after Chris Mpofu hits a Malinga delivery straight to substitute fielder Chandimal.

Sri Lanka start their campaign on a winning note having thrashed Zimbabwe by 83 runs.

Jeevan Mendis comes in to replace Mathews (2-0-8-0) in the attack in the 11th over and strikes third ball, having Ervine (10) stumped.

Two balls later, Mendis traps Malcolm Waller in front of the wicket before the latter could open his account.

Chigumbura smashes Jeevan Mendis over deep midwicket for a six to ease the pressure a bit. However, the match is going as expected.

Ajantha Mendis returns to rattle Chigumbura's (19) timber. He completes his fiver in his final over having Prosper Utseya (1) caught by Jayawardene.

Wicket no.6 comes in three balls later when Kyle Jarvis (0) who is out leg before.

Craig Ervine survives a loud leg before shout first ball. It is a wicket maiden.

Angelo Mathews is also keeping it tight at the other end. Thisara Perera replaces Mendis (2-1-3-3) in the 10th over. Ervine hits the last ball of the over for a maximum.

Having watched Masakadza hitting boundaries from the other end, Sibanda finally gets one over the infield off Kulasekara for his first boundary.

Ajantha Mendis is introduced into the attack in the sixth over, replacing Malinga (2-0-13-0). The spinner strikes with his third ball, cleaning up Sibanda (11).

A ball later, he has Brendan Taylor (0) stumped. Elton Chigumbura survives the hat-trick ball.

Mendis, who is making an international comeback, strikes twice in his first over to give the home side an upper hand.

However, two balls later Creamer is rewarded for his efforts with the wicket of Dilshan (39).
