Shane Watson has the ball in his hand as William Potterfield will take stike for Ireland.
And he STRIKESS!!!!
Perfect start for Australia as Watson digs one short as Potterfield goes for a hook shot, only to get a top edge and was taken easily by Mitchell Strac at long leg.
Welcome to the live update of the second match of the Twenty20 World Cup here at the Premadasa Stadium.
The first match of the day is Australians taking on Ireland. Ireland can be a surprise package considering they have some big hitters amongst their ranks.
Aussies on the other hand haven't had the best of T20 format, but one can never count out the team from Down Under.
William Potterfield have won the toss as Ireland opt to bat first against Australia.
