Match reduced to seven-overs-a-side

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene wins the toss and elects to bowl against South Africa in the-rain hit ICC World T20 Group C match, in Hambantota, on Saturday.

The start was delayed by two and half hours because of heavy rain. The match is scheduled to start at 1800 hours and it will be seven-overs-a-side game with only two overs of Powerplay.

Only two bowlers will be allowed to a maximum of bowl two overs each, while the other bowlers can bowl only an over.

South Africa make a change, bringing in Faf du Plessis for left-arm spinner Robin Peterson, while Ajantha Mendis misses out for the hosts with an injury and is replaced by Rangana Herath.

Sri Lanka and South Africa are playing each for the first time in Twenty20 Internationals.
