Live! Match called off, West Indies go through

So another match gets washed off. 

The match between Ireland and West Indies is abandoned due to rain.

West Indies go through to the knock out phase.

Ireland manage 129 for six in their stipulated 19 overs. 

Trent Johnston (15 not out) and Nigel Jones (14 not out) put on an unbeaten 22-run stand for the seventh wicket to save the Irish the blushes.

Edwards is back into the attack in the 15th over, replacing Russell (2-0-19-0). His otherwise tight over is spoiled by a last ball six by Kevin O'Brien. 

However, Gayle ensures the fifth wicket partnership between the brothers is restricted to 26, by rattling Niall's timber in his third over. 

Niall O'Brien's 21-ball 25 included a six.

Ireland 107 for five after 16 overs.

Wilson and Niall O'Brien put a run-a-ball 33 run partnership for the fourth wicket before Gayle has the former stumped. 

Wilson made 21, a knock that was inclusive of three boundaries. 

Niall O'Brien eases the pressure with a six off Russell. 

Ireland 80 for four after 13 overs.

Sammy strikes in his second over, having Paul Stirling (19) caught by Gayle. 

With two settled batsmen gone in successive overs Ireland is in a lot of trouble. Gary Wilson picks up a lucky boundary in the over. He was almost out. 

Ireland 44 for three after eight overs. 

The rain has ensured the loss of a couple of overs. 

The match will be a 19 over affair now. 

Sunil Narine is introduced into the attack immediately and he strikes third ball, rattling the Irish captain's stumps. Joyce made 17.

Ireland 35 for two after six overs.

Rains have come in to disrupt yet another match at the IC World T20. 

With the Irish having recovered from the early shock, and comfortably placed at 33 for one after five overs, the heavens opened forcing the covers to be brought on. 

Ed Joyce, the Irish captain, is unbeaten on 17 and giving him company is Paul Stirling on 16.

Ravi Rampaul shares the new ball and concedes just two runs in his first over. 

Paul Stirling top edges the second ball of Edwards' second over to the fence.

Joyce hits the first ball off Rampaul's second over to the cover-point fence, even a diving effort from Russell can't stop that. It is the third boundary for the Irish captain.

Darren Sammy comes out to replace Edwards (2-0-15-1) in the fifth over and Stirling blasts the second ball through point for his second boundary. 

The next ball is also dispatched to the fence, this time over backward point. 

Ireland 33 for one after five overs.

Fidel Edwards strikes first ball for the West Indies, rattling William Porterfield's timber. 

It's the batsman's second successive golden duck. 

Ed Joyce, the Irish captain, comes in to the crease and starts with a boundary first ball. Three balls later he repeats the feat.

Ireland eight for one after the first over.

Windies have made two changes to the squad that lost to Australia in the opener. Andre Russell comes in for Dwayne Bravo and Darren Bravo replacing Dwayne Smith.

The forecast, albeit, isn't too encouraging.
