Malinga to bowl his second over. Nicol hits the first ball to covers but a slight fumble gives the Kiwis another free run.

Malinga then sends down a slower ball which is defended by Guptill and he plays the next ball straight to short midwicket for no runs.

Guptill then looks to charge Malinga who drops it short but the right-hander still manages to pull it back over the bowler's head for a four. He turns the final ball to deep square leg for two runs as NZ reach 43 for no loss after six overs.
