SL 17-0 (1 over) vs NZ 174-6

New Zealand are starting with a spinner as they open the bowling with off-spinner Nathan McCullum. Mahela Jayawardene will open the batting for Sri Lanka along with the dangerous Tillakaratne Dilshan.

Jayawardene takes a single from the first ball to the square leg region. Dilshan starts off with a boundary as he pulls a short ball past the short fine leg fielder.

Dilshan then jumps down the track and lofted McCullum over long-on for a six. He has started with a bang!!

Dilshan pulls the fifth ball on the leg side for two runs before chipping down the wicket again and hitting a full toss over the bowler's head for a six.

What a smashing start for Sri Lanka as they get 17 runs from the first over.
