Kohli then steps down and tries to blast it through the off-side but is beaten all ends up! Steyn pitches on the leg stump as Kohli flicks it to deep midwicket for a couple.

Amla playing some good shots but unable to find the gap on the off-side. He plays four dot balls in a row before he smashes a short wide delivery from Kumar through the off-side for a boundary.

Mohit drops one short as de Kock rocks back and pulls it over square leg for a boundary, to take his score to 21 from 18 balls. He is beaten off the next ball as the ball bounces a bit extra.
De Kock slashes his bat at the next delivery which goes in the air to thirdman where Shami comes in and dives forward to take the catch but it falls just short.
Amla gets a leading edge off the next ball but again it falls short of Rohit Sharma in the covers. South Africa having a few close shaves here.

He drives the fourth ball down the ground as Dhawan at mid-on runs to the ball and tries a direct hit which misses as Amla is clearly struggling to make his crease.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won the toss and elected to bowl in the first One-Day International against South Africa, in Johannesburg, on Thursday.
The visitors have retained the same team that beat West Indies by five wickets in the third ODI in Kanpur. Mohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the three pace bowlers, while R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are the two frontline spinners.
Dhoni is expecting rain to play a part later in the match and he says his bowlers have not yet figured out how to play with the wet ball.
