Cook's ploy of getting back Finn has worked wonders with the tall pacer picking up the big wicket of the in-form Dhoni.

Dhoni planted his front foot across and looked to play across but the ball missed completely and was struck in front of the stumps.
As Dhoni walked back, his partner Raina shook his hand and spoke to Dhoni indicating that the ball was sliding down the leg side.
A big wicket for England and they will looking to complete the job by wrapping up the lower order quickly.
A wicket maiden for Finn, who now has figures of two for 20 in eight overs.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharamsala stadium must rank as one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world.
This is the first international match at the venue having hosted a couple of IPL matches last season.
The stadium is the fourth highest ground in the world, located at an altitude of 1,457 m (4,780 ft 2 in) above sea level with the picturesque snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges in the background.

Dhoni takes a single from Bresnan's first ball before yet again another person walks past the sightscreen. This has been a constant distraction today with people freely jaywalking around the sightscreen on both the ends.
Meanwhile, as India opt to play with caution Sunil Gavaskar tries to liven up things on commentary with some tales of the past. And in one of them he mentions how a dog, who strayed on to the field caused him to lose his wicket. Interesting!!

Bresnan is allowed to bowl now. Dhoni plays a walking cover drive as he takes a few steps down the wicket and slams a full delivery through the off-side for a boundary.

England make a bowling as Bresnan is called on to replace Finn, but hold on he is not allowed to bowl. He was off the field for a bit and the umpires ask him to spend some time on the field before he can resume bowling.
And Cook is forced to bring on off-spinner James Tredwell. And has been the case through the series, Tredwell is among the wickets straightaway.
Gambhir tries to play the cut shot but his uppish shot is well held by Morgan at point, diving full length to his left.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni off the mark with a single to help India bring p their 50 in the 13th over.
Tredwell then gets one to turn sharply, beating Raina as he looks to play the forward defensive shot. Tredwell getting some spin and bounce early on.

Raina provides the release with three boundaries off Woakes in the 12th over. He flicked the first ball fine on the leg side for a boundary and when Woakes pitched one up, Raina drove it elegantly through the covers for another four.
The fourth ball is again full and on the pads and Raina flicks it on the leg side for two runs to complete 4000 runs in ODIs, in his 159th match.
The last ball is short and wide and Raina cuts it past point for the third boundary of the over.
14 runs from the over as India reach 49 for three after 12 overs.

Gambhir nearly throws his wicket away as he tries to play the cut shot and it falls just short of Morgan at point.
Indian batsmen looking to hit themselves out of trouble but so far it has not worked on a pitch that is doing a bit for the pacers.
Finn, bowling his sixth over, comes up with another tight over to Gambhir for the second maiden on the trot.

Woakes giving Raina some trouble as he gets the ball to move a fair bit. Raina, who is looking at all sea, edges the last ball but Tredwell fails to hold on to a one-handed catch at second slip.
Raina looking to be positive when the need of the hour is to stay at the wicket and play out the fast bowlers. Just like his team-mates before Raina also tried to drive on the up, playing away from the body and got an edge.
A difficult chance for Tredwell but at this level you expect fielders to take such chances.
A good probing over from Woakes as India reach 35 for three after 10 overs.

A good steady from Finn as India pick only two singles from that over. Gambhir turns the second ball to the fine leg region for one and Raina clips the fifth ball to the same region for one.
The last ball comes in sharply as Gambhir lets it go and it passes over the stumps. A good leave from Gambhir judging the bounce perfectly.

England make their first bowling change with Chris Woakes replacing Bresnan, who has bowled a good first spell of two for 12 in three overs with one maiden.
The first bowl is full and wide as Gambhir tries to drive it but misses. However, he drives the second the ball through the covers and gets a four despite a good effort from Morgan on the boundary. Gambhir is on 22 from 30 balls with the help of five boundaries.
He then takes a single on the leg side to get one.
Suresh Raina gets off the mark with a boundary as he flicks a full delivery on the pads behind square on the leg side. A poor first over from Woakes helping eases off some pressure from the Indians with some wayward bowling.

India in big trouble at 24 for three in the seventh over.
New batsman Suresh Raina is treated to a quick bouncer first up and he tries to get out of the way, taking his eyes off but is struck on the left shoulder.

Bresnan drops it short and offers Gambhir a bit of width too who is happy to crash it through the covers for his third boundary. Two balls later he drives it straight back past the bowler for a cracking boundary to bring some cheer back to the Indian fans.

Both the batsmen guilty of playing loose shots away from the body on the pitch offering some assistance to the pace bowlers with the new ball.
Bresnan on a hat-trick and facing him will be Yuvraj Singh. He carefully blocks the hat-trick ball before the letting the next ball go.
A double wicket maiden for Bresnan.

Finn continues to trouble Gambhir with the outswinger. The left-hander tries to defend but again the ball does enough and goes past the edge of the bat. The fifth ball is short and Gambhir cuts it over point for a boundary as India continue to get a boundary in every over.

Tim Bresnan will bowl the second over. Rohit Sharma lets the first ball go but is beaten off the next as Bresnan gets the ball to move away.

Steven Finn to open the bowling on a cold morning in Dharamsala while Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma walk out to open the batting for India.
Finn starts with a wide delivery as the ball moves away from Gambhir and keeps going away. Gambhir lets the next ball go through before he is beaten as he tries to defend it. The fourth ball comes in sharply and hits Gambhir on the handle of the bat as he tried to leave it.
Finn then drifts on the batsman's pads and Gambhir is happy to clip it through square leg for the first boundary of the match.
09:38 England elect to bowl vs India in 5th ODI:
England captain Alastair Cook has won the toss and elected to bowl against India in the fifth and final One-Day International in Dharamsala, on Sunday.
India, who have already won the series 3-1, have opted against making any changes thereby denying the in-form Cheteshwar Pujara his debut in ODIs.
Interestingly, the team management also refused to release him to play for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy final against Mumbai. A really surprising decision from India.
England made one change bringing in Chris Woakes in place of Jade Dernbach.
