West Indies: 216-8 (43 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Suresh Raina is handed the ball in the 44th and he strikes second ball, having Sunil Narine (5) caught by Shikhar Dhawan at mid-on.

Jadeja ends his spell with not-so-impressive figures (10-1-50-0).

So after a lot of drama a single by Tino Best means the scores are level with 17 balls left.

And on his 25th birthday Roach (14 not out) hits the winning run.

West Indies win by one wicket with 14 balls to spare.

West Indies: 220-8 (43 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Just ahead of the batting powerplay, Sammy smashes a huge six over deep square leg off Yadav.

Ashwin to bowl the first powerplay over. He gives away just four runs.

Ishant to bowl the second over. Sammy smashes a huge six over fine leg off the second ball and follows it up with a boundary over extra cover. However, in his extravagance he ends up holing out to Ashwin at third man.

Sammy's 25-ball 29 was inclusive of two boundaries and three sixes and he helped Charles add 36 runs (0ff 31 balls) for the seventh wicket.

Charles survives a stumping in Ashwin's final over, the bowler ending with figures of two for 44.

However, just when he needed to stay, Charles hits straight to Ishant, Umesh Yadav benefiting as a result. Charles' 100-ball 97 has taken his team close. Can they finish it?

West Indies 220 for eight after 43 overs.
02:42

West Indies: 161-6 (32 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Bravo's wicket has brought captain Kieron Pollard to the crease. A huge six over long-off by Charles (his fourth), off Ashwin, helps the hosts get past the 150-run mark.

Ishant Sharma is brought back, replacing Jadeja (7-1-41-0) in the 31st over. The bowler strikes with his second ball, having Pollard (4) caught behind.

The West Indies captain departs just ahead of the batting powerplay. Blame it on impatience.

Dinesh Ramdin (4), playing in his 100th ODI, doesn't survive for long, Ashwin getting through his defence.

West Indies 161 for six after 32 overs.
02:23

West Indies: 142-4 (28 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

A couple off Ashwin helps Charles reach a well-deserved second ODI fifty. It's been a measured innings from the Windies opener. He celebrates the same with a huge six over long-on off Jadeja.

A couple by Bravo off Ashwin helps raise the 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket. With spinners failing to make an impact, acting captain Virat Kohli is forced to re-introduce pace.

Yadav replaces Jadeja (6-1-38-0) and Charles welcomes him back with a huge six over wide long-on. Two balls later, a boundary helps Bravo complete his 10th ODI fifty.

However, against the run of play Ashwin provides India with a breakthrough, having Bravo (55) caught by Shikhar Dhawan.

Bravo's 78-ball knock was inclusive of five boundaries and a six and he helped Charles add 116 runs (off 142 balls) for the fourth wicket, a partnership that laid the foundation of the Windies innings.

West Indies 142 for four after 28 overs.
02:00

West Indies: 101-3 (22 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Charles and Bravo are combining well for the fourth wicket. And that is good news for West Indies. The home team desperately needs a partnership of some sort.

A boundary over backward point by Bravo, off Ishant, helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

West Indies 101 for three after 22 overs.
01:20

West Indies: 65-3 (13 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar ensures a third wicket for India in the fifth over, as Marlon Samuels (1) plays on.

Charles albeit continues dealing with boundaries, first one off Kumar and then two in Yadav's fourth over.

Ravindra Jadeja replaces Kumar (5-1-25-1) in the attack in the 11th over. Darren Bravo smashes the fourth ball over the bowler's head for a six and two balls later, an Ashwin fumble helps him get another boundary.

It's a dual bowling change for India, Ishant Sharma replacing Yadav (5-2-18-2).

West Indies 65 for three after 13 overs.
00:38

West Indies: 26-2 (4 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Johnson Charles eases the pressure with three straight boundaries off Kumar. But Yadav strikes with the first ball off his second over, having Devon Smith (0) out leg before.

West Indies 26 for two after four overs.
00:29

West Indies: 13-1 (2 overs)
India: 229-7 (50 overs)

Bhuvneswhar Kumar opens the bowling for India and it will be Chris Gayle and Johnson Charles first up for West Indies. Six runs come off the first over, with Gayle finding the fence.

Umesh Yadav to bowl with the second new ball. Gayle welcomes him with a boundary over square leg. Gayle (11) follows it up with a couple but Yadav strikes with his fourth ball, having him caught by Suresh Raina at short cover.

West Indies 13 for one after two overs.
