South Africa 37-0 (11 overs) vs Pakistan

We have spin for the first time today in the form of part-timer Mohammad Hafeez, who has actually done quite well with the ball for Pakistan in limited overs cricket.

Amla takes a single from the first ball. Ingram's struggle continues as he is unable to even get singles and plays away five dot balls in a row. He even jumped down the wicket to the fifth ball but was forced to defend and nearly lobbed a catch back to the bowler but it fell short.

Ingram will need to get on with things or he will put more pressure on Amla.

Both Pakistan and South Africa are desperate for a victory, having lost their opening matches.

South Africa went down to India by 26 runs, while Pakistan were beaten by two runs by West Indies.

It is a bit overcast in Birmingham but the pitch is expected to get slower as the game goes on. South Africa will be looking to post a total in excess of 250 and then claim some early wickets to put Pakistan batsmen under pressure right from the start.
