CT Updates: India thrash Pakistan by eight wickets at Edgbaston

Virat Kohli bowls the second over after resumption and gives away just four runs. However, seven runs come from Ashwin's fifth over. 

Kohli is taken off after one over and Ravindra Jadeja is handed the ball. He gives away three runs. A single by Misbah off Ashwin helps Pakistan reach the 100-run mark, in the 26th over. 

Successive boundaries off Jadeja by Shafiq helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket. But the bowler hits back by cleaning up Misbah (22). It's Jadeja's eighth wicket in this competition.

This brings captain Misbah-ul Haq to the crease. And it is Umesh Yadav back to bowl, replacing Kumar (8-2-19-2) in the 17th over.

Kumar's fourth over is an expensive one, with both the batsmen helping themselves to boundaries. Ishant's fourth over also sees both batsmen help themselves to boundaries.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar gives India the breakthrough in his second over, having Jamshed (2) caught by Raina at second slip.

Umesh Yadav to share the new ball. He appeals for leg before first ball and the umpire raises his finger. However, Nasir Jamshed gets the decision reviewed and gets it in his favour.

Samuel continues his aggression in Peterson's fourth over, hitting a six over long-on and following it up with successive boundaries. 

Steyn bowls a good follow-up over, giving away just two runs. A single off Tsotsobe helps Windies get to the 150-run mark, in the 23rd over. A boundary by Pollard helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

However, Steyn provides a crucial breakthrough in the next over by rattling Samuels' (48) stumps. 

Samuels' 38-ball innings was inclusive of six boundaries and two sixes and he put on 58 runs (off just 33 balls) for the fifth wicket with Pollard.
