Hogg to bowl the 18th over. He is beaten off the first ball by the wrong one from Hogg but he lofts the next ball back over the bowler's head for a victory to take his team to victory in grand style.

Kolkata register a convincing eight-wicket victory with 16 balls to spare to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

Kallis hit 33 from 30 balls while Pathan finished not out on 49 from 35 balls as the two put on an unbroken stand of 78 from 10.1 overs.

The next ball is sliding down the leg side as Bisla tries to flick it fine but it hits his pads and goes for four leg byes.

The next ball is a slower one as Dravid has a huge swing but misses it.  The Rajasthan captain drives the last ball past the bowler to long-off and tries to take two runs.

Rajasthan are showing good maturity as they carefully play out Narine for five singles in his second over.

RR are 102 for four after 15 overs with Samson on 34 from 28 balls and Shah on 10 from eight balls.

Narine finally comes into the attack. The first ball turns as Watson tries to play it on the leg side but gets a leading edge and it falls on the off-side. Watson tries to sweep the next ball but misses the carrom ball but the LBW appeal is turned down. Replays show that the ball would have hit the leg stump but the umpire was not interested.

However, Narine gets his man three balls later as Watson again tries to sweep but misses the carrom ball again. He is dismissed leg before wicket after scoring 35 from as many balls.

Dishant Yagnik steers the last ball of that over past point for a four.

Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid has won the toss and elected to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

"It looks like being low and slow," says Dravid when asked about the pitch.

The visitors have brought in a couple of left-arm spinners in Ankeet Chavan and Brad Hogg.

Kolkata have three spinners in their team as they bring in Sachithra Senanayake to partner Sunil Narine. Gambhir mentioned at the toss that they have also picked up another left-arm spinner but hasn't named him, so we will wait for the team sheets to arrive.

Kolkata Knight Riders face a must-win situation when they take on Rajasthan Royals, in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League, in Kolkata, on Friday.

Defending champions Kolkata have won just three out of 10 games and need to win their remaining six matches to make it to the play-offs.

On the other hand, Rajasthan are sitting pretty on the third position in the standings with six victories from nine games.
