IPL updates! Pollard keeps Mumbai unbeaten at home

Pollard's 20-ball is the second fastest in this IPL, following Gayle's 17-ball effort vs Pune. 

A whopping 50 runs came in total off the 17th and 18th overs. 

Steyn to bowl the penultimate over. He gives away just five runs to finish with figures of none for 23. 

But the home team needs just seven runs and Perera to bowl. First ball goes over long-on for a six. He finishes with another two balls later.

Mumbai win by seven wickets with three balls to spare.

Pollard has single-handedly won Mumbai the match, his 27-ball 66 inclusive of two boundaries and eight huge sixes and his 85-run stand for the fourth-wicket with Rohit Sharma (20 not out) coming off just 37 balls) and taking the home team out of a difficult situation. 

Mumbai keep their unbeaten home record intact and move top of the table.

Pollard continues his onslaught in the 18th over, bowled by Mishra. Successive sixes of the second and third balls, the first of which helps raise the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket (off just 24 balls) while also helping MI get past the 150-run mark.

The fifth ball is also hit for a six, this time over deep square leg. A single off the last ball helps him complete his fifty. Pollard has clearly turned the match in Mumbai's favour.

Ishant Sharma ends with figures of one for 31, going for 13 in his last. 

The 16th over, by Steyn, is a good one, only four runs coming off it. Time for the second strategic timeout with the home team needing 62 to win in the last four overs.

Perera bowls the first over after resumption and Rohit welcomes him with a six over deep midwicket. Pollard hits a boundary off the third ball and a six over long-on off the next. 

Perera's fifth ball is hit for a straight six and the sixth over long-on as 29 runs come off the over to ease the pressure for the home team.

Karan Sharma strikes for a second time in his third over, having Ambati Rayudu (2) stumped.

The home team have lost two quick wickets as well as settled batsman (Tendulkar).

Kieron Pollard joins Rohit Sharma at the crease. His first run helps MI reach the 100-run mark.

The first strategic timeout is taken after the eight over and Karan Sharma bowls the first over after resumption and gives away eight runs. 

He's replaced after just one over by Perera and a boundary by Karthik off the Sri Lankan helped raise the 50-run partnership for the second wicket.  

Sharma replaces Mishra (2-0-15-0) at the other end in the 12th over and Tendulkar welcomes him back with boundary hit straight over the bowler's head. Three balls later, the Master Blaster smashes a huge six over long-on.

However, he calls physio immediately after. And the Master Blaster retires hurt at 38. 

The break helps Sharma regroup and have Karthik (30) caught by White at extra cover.

Ishant Sharma provides Hyderabad the initial breakthrough getting through the defense of Smith (21) in his second over.

Dinesh Karthik joins Tendulkar at the crease. Thisara Perera replaces Steyn (2-0-15-0) in the attack in the fifth over. He gives away only five runs, including a boundary to Tendulkar.

However, Darren Sammy replaces the Sri Lankan in the attack in the seventh over. Karthik welcomes him with a boundary even as MI reach the 50-run mark in the over.

Amit Mishra replaces Ishant (3-0-19-1) in the attack in the eighth over. Nine runs come off the over with Karthik hitting a boundary off the last ball.

Mumbai 59 for one after eight overs.

Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Smith open the batting for Mumbai and it will be Dale Steyn first up for Hyderabad. He gives away five runs including a boundary to Smith.

Ishant Sharma to share the new ball. Smith welcomes him with a boundary to deep square leg even as eight runs come off his over.

Smith gets successive boundaries off edges in Steyn's second over.

Mumbai 23 without loss after three overs.

Johnson finishes his four-over spell with disappointing figures of one for 43, a six off his very last ball (by White) helping raise the 50-run partnership for the third wicket for the visitors.

Mumbai finally manage a wicket in the penultimate over, Malinga having Vihari (41) caught by Johnson at mid-off. The Sri Lankan ends with respective figures of two for 26.

Kulkarni to bowl the final over. White hits a six off the last ball to remain unbeaten on 43, his 23-ball knock inclusive of three boundaries and an equal number of sixes.

Hyderabad score a formidable 178 for three in their stipulated 20 overs.

Cameron White gets into the groove rather quickly, smashing successive boundaries off Kulkarni, the latter's third over costing Mumbai 15 runs. 

The Hyderabad captain follows it up with a huge six off Ojha, the latter ending his spell with disappointing figures (4-0-37-0).

Malinga bowls the 17th over and gives away seven runs, the visitors getting past the 150-run mark in the over.

White (on 27) is lucky as Rayudu puts him down off Johnson.

Hyderabad 158 for two after 18 overs.

Mitchell Johnson is back to bowl in the 13th over and Vihari welcomes him with a boundary over point. 

However, the Australian has the last laugh, having Dhawan (59) caught behind to give the home team a much needed breakthrough.

Dhawan's 41-ball innings was inclusive of six boundaries and two sixes and he put on 73 runs (in 54 balls) with Vihari for the second wicket. 

Cameron white replaces Dhawan at the crease.

A single by Vihari, in the 11th over by Malinga, helps complete the 50-run partnership for the second wicket. In the same over, Dhawan helps himself to successive boundaries, the first of which helps him reach his 16th IPL fifty.

In the next over, by Harbhajan, the visitors reach the 100-run mark.

Hyderabad 104 for one after 12 overs.

Harbhajan is taken off after just one over. Johnson is back. Five runs come off his second over with Hanuma Vihari finding the fence. 

Harbhajan replaces Malinga at the other end, giving away 
eight runs, including a boundary to Dhawan that helps the visitors get past the 50-run mark. 

Pragyan Ojha replaces Johnson (2-0-22-0) in the attack in the seventh over and Dhawan welcomes with a six even as 11 runs come off the over.

Dhawal Kulkarni to share the new ball. He starts off with a wide. Dhawan hits a huge six over third man off the third ball and Parthiv hits a boundary off the fifth as 14 runs come off the over. 

Hyderabad is showing some real positive intent here. Great start this. 

The aggression by the visitors has forced the hosts to introduce spin as early as the third over. Harbhajan Singh to bowl. He gives away five runs first up.

It's a twin bowling change, in fact the fourth in four overs, with Lasith Malinga replacing Kulkarni. He is unlucky as the man he replaced puts down Parthiv (on 25) at mid-off off his second ball.

However, Parthiv (26) doesn't make the most of his fortune, hitting straight to Ambati Rayudu at deep square leg three balls later.

Hyderabad 39 for one after four overs.

Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel open the batting for Hyderabad while it is Mitchell Johnson first up for Mumbai. 

Parthiv helps himself to four boundaries in the over that costs the home team 19 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has won the toss and expectedly elected to bat first in their Indian Premier League match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium. 

The visitors have named an unchanged squad while the home team has made two changes, Kieron Pollard coming back in place of Glenn Maxwell and Dhawal Kulkarni replaching Abu Nechim Ahmed. 

If Mumbai win this match they will replace Chennai Super Kings at the top of the table.
