Karthik ends the match in style as he lofts a full toss from Simmons for a six over the cover region to lift Mumbai to a convincing six-wicket victory in the second semi-final.

Mumbai are the first team to make it to the final of the Champions League twice. They will play Rajasthan Royals in the final, at the same venue, on Sunday.

Karthik walks across and swipes Rampaul square on the leg side for a six. He edges the next ball trying to play across the line on the leg side but it flies past the keeper for a four...just four needed for victory.

After keeping out two yorkers, Karthik flicks the fifth ball to fine leg for one.

As the crowd yell 'We want six, we want six,' Pollard quietly lets the last ball go through to the keeper.

Narine keeps Trinidad interested as he strikes with the key wicket of Rohit, who plays all over an incoming delivery and is bowled for 25 from 22 balls.

Mumbai are still on top with 14 needed from two overs for victory.

Mumbai are doing it quite sensibly, playing out Narine while attacking the bowlers from the other end. Rohit pulls a short ball from Stewart high and handsome over the midwicket fence for a six and two balls later Karthik cuts it through point for a four as 13 runs come from that over.

Mumbai need 17 runs from three overs for victory, with seven wickets still in hand.

The last throw of the dice as far as Trinidad are concerned as Narine comes back to bowl his third over.

He starts with two dot balls before Rohit takes and Karthik then tries the reverse sweep but fails to beat the fielder at first slip. That is ruled a no-ball for overstepping the bowling crease but Karthik can't make most of the free hit and drives it to long-on for one.

Just five runs from Narine's third over as Mumbai watchfully play against the mystery spinner, who has taken two for 14 in three overs.

Rampaul comes back as Trinidad look to find bowlers who can keep it tight so Narine can attack from one end.

Rampaul bowls a tidy over giving away just four singles as Mumbai reach 119 for three in 15 overs, with 35 needed from five overs for victory.

Trinidad have decided to hold back Narine's two overs as they look to build the pressure through their other spinners. But the move is not working so far as Rohit charges down the track and lofts Ottley straight back over his head for a six.

Rohit ends the over with another delightful boundary through the covers to make it 13 runs from the over.

Narine comes back and he strikes with the wicket of Ambati Rayudu, who is caught behind for a first-ball duck.

Rohit Sharma survives a huge appeal for LBW off the very first ball before he takes one to get off the mark.

Smith then edges one which beats the keeper and flies past the fielder at first slip for a boundary. But Narine gets his man off the next ball as Smith attempt the slog sweep but misses and is bowled after a quick innings of 59 from 38 balls, with the help of seven fours and two sixes.

Mumbai have lost three wickets for six runs in the space of seven deliveries to be reduced to 96 for three in 12 overs.

Smith brings up his half-century in grand style as he heaves Simmons over long-on and again the timing is so good that it carries all the way for six.

Smith has raised his fifty from 33 balls to give Mumbai the perfect start and they look in control of the proceedings out in the middle.

Tendulkar is dismissed off the last ball as he gets an edge trying to force it through the off-side. He walks back after a good knock of 35 from 31 balls after putting on 90 runs in 11 overs for the opening wicket with Smith.

Medium pacer Navin Stewart comes into the attack. Three singles from the first three balls before Smith steers it past point for a delightful boundary to race to 46 from 32 balls, while Tendulkar is on 33 from 28 balls.

At the halfway stage, Mumbai are 79 for no loss, with 75 needed from 10 overs for victory.

Lendl Simmons comes into the attack and he is welcomed in some style as Smith smashes the first ball through midwicket for a four.

Two balls later Tendulkar plays the late cut opening the face of the bat at the last minute to beat short thirdman for a boundary.

After a difficult start to the tournament, Tendulkar seems to be finding his touch and that can only be a good sign for Mumbai and Indian fans.

Mumbai reach 72 for no loss after nine overs.

Tendulkar takes a single on the leg side to bring up his 50,000th run in all forms of cricket. He gets a huge cheer from the crowd as he becomes the 16th player overall to achieve that feat and add another record to his glittering career.

Smith pulls a short ball powerfully through midwicket for a four to get 10 runs from that over.

Mumbai in control at 62 for no loss in eight overs with 92 needed from 12 overs for victory with 10 wickets still in hand.

He tries to heave the next ball but gets a bottom edge which beats the keeper for a single. Tendulkar charges down the wicket to the last delivery but can only get a single to long-off as 16 runs come from that over.

Mumbai looking comfortable on 49 for no loss in six overs. Tendulkar has made 23 from 16 balls, while Smith is on 26 from 20 balls.

Smith plays two dot balls from Badree before heaving it on the leg side and despite not timing it well he gets a boundary behind square on the leg side. He repeats the shot off the next ball but it goes to deep midwicket for one before Tendulkar flicks it to the same region for a couple.

Tendulkar tries to clip Rampaul on the leg side but gets a leading edge which falls well short of the fielder at mid-on. Just when everyone thinks Tendulkar is again struggling he hits his trademark straight past mid-off for a cracking boundary.

Harsha Bhogle confirms that Rayad Emrit has dislocated his shoulder after his diving stop in the first over and won't be able to bowl which means that Trinidad are a bowler short.

Mumbai will be pleased with their bowling effort and feel confident of chasing down this total.

Ottley drives the third ball down the ground for a couple and then takes a single. Naveen Stewart hit the fifth ball to long-on for a couple before he is beaten by the last ball.

Coulter-Nile has been excellent with the ball, taking one for 20 in four overs.

Pooran tries to reverse sweep Dhawan but can't beat Karthik, who makes a good diving stop to his left. Pooran then drives it down the ground for two runs before he tries the fine paddle sweep but misses and gets two leg byes in the process.

The fourth ball is full and on the pads but Pooran misses the big heave on the leg side for just one leg bye.

Ottley then picks a full delivery and hits it over the bowler's head for a flat six straight down the ground. He tries to heave the last ball over the leg side but gets a thick inside edge which beats the short fine leg fielder for a boundary to get 16 runs from that over.

Youngster Nicolas Pooran breaks the shackles as he smacks Coulter-Nile over long-on for a much-needed six for T & T.

Except for this six, Coulter-Nile has kept the batsmen quiet with full deliveries as nine come from that over. The Aussie pacer has given just 14 runs in three overs.

T & T captain Denesh Ramdin targets Johnson rightaway as he makes room and cuts a short ball past point for a four before the pacer sends a wide down the leg side.

Mumbai could have picked up another wicket but Rayudu missed with the direct hit close in on the off-side with Ottley way outside his crease.

Eight runs from that over as Mumbai continue to dry up the boundaries.

Ojha strikes first ball as Bravo is stumped as he tries to flick it on the leg side but misses and wicketkeeper Karthik (14) completed an easy stumping with the batsman losing his balance after getting beaten.

Yannick Ottley has a close shave as the ball stops on him as he tries to defend but luckily for him the catch falls way short of the bowler.

Four runs from Ojha's first over in which he also picked up the wicket of Bravo to check Trinidad's progress.

Johnson bowls a full delivery that moves enough to beat Lewis, who plays at it without any real footwork. However, he throws his bat at the next ball and flays it over point for a four.

Trinidad are gifted another boundary as Kieron Pollard unnecessarily hits the stumps and gives away four overthrows. Lewis then hammers the next ball over the off-side fielder for another boundary before he is beaten off the next ball.

New batsman Darren Bravo gets off the mark with a single from the last ball.

Johnson produces a beauty to end the over as Simmons is beaten all ends up and the ball passes close to the outside edge.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bowl against Trinidad and Tobago in the second semi-final of the Champions League T20 in Delhi, on Saturday.

Mumbai made one change with Mitchell Johnson coming to replace fellow Australian Glenn Maxwell, while Trinidad retained the same team that shocked Chennai Super Kings in their last match.

Rajasthan Royals have already made it to the final after their beating Chennai by 14 runs in the first semi-final.
