CLT20 Live! Hyderabad bow out as match with Brisbane is abandoned

Timeline  Refresh

21:06
The second match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Brisbane Heat has been abandoned due to rain.

The downpour that affected the opening game between Trinidad and Titans, won by the former in D/L method, continued unabated.

The final match of the group, between Chennai and Trinidad will decide who joins CSK in the semis. Trinidad and Titans are both in with a chance.
19:43

Titans: 153-6 (17 overs)
Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

Sunil Narine ends with impressive figures of two for 23 to move back to top in the tournament's wicket tally. With three overs left, and Titans needing 36, there's a downpour at Motera.

No more play is possible and Trinidad win by D/L method by six runs.
19:01

Titans: 141-6 (16 overs)
Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

Farhaan Behardien eases the pressure with a six off Simmons and couple more off Emrit. AB de Villers takes on Narine and gets a six over wide long-on.

Emrit's third over costs Trinidad 22 runs, with De Villiers finding the fence twice in succession. Behardien (29) is fortunate to survive in Narine's last over as his slog lands in no man's land.

But the batsman doesn't learn from his mistake, hitting straight to Lewis at deep midwicket. Behardien's 19-ball knock was inclusive of three sixes and he added 49 runs for the fifth wicket with De Villiers.

David Wiese goes two balls later, caught by Badree at slip.
18:40

Titans: 92-4 (12 overs)
Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

Heino Kuhn replaces his captain at the crease. He doesn't last long though, Samuel Badree having him caught by Lewis at deep square leg for seven.

The next over by Lendl Simmons ensures Trinidad a double breakthrough.

Rudolph (31) skies one to Emrit at midwicket and Van der Merwe (4) follows next ball, caught by Darren Bravo at deep square leg.

Three quick wickets have put Trinidad on top. Ramdin is quick to bring back Narine.
18:19

Titans: 66-1 (7 overs)
Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

The Titans blitzkrieg forces Ramdin to introduce Sunil Narine into the attack early, in the fourth over. The spinner gives away just a single first up.

It's a twin bowling change as Rayad Emrit replaces Rampaul (2-0-19-0) in the attack in the fifth over. It's a good first over from him, seven runs coming off it with Davids finding the fence.

Narine is taken off after one over and his replacement, Navin Stewart goes for 15 in his first. Emrit, however, strikes in his second over, having Davids (42) bowled.

Davids' 22-ball knock was inclusive of six boundaries and a couple of sixes and he helped Rudolph add 65 runs for the opening wicket.
17:59

Titans: 41-0 (3 overs)
Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

Henry Davids and Jacques Rudolph open the batting for Titans and it will be Ravi Rampaul first up for Trinidad.

If Titans chase 189 they will be in the semis. Four runs come off the first over.

Samuel Badree to bowl with the second new ball. Rudolph welcomes him with successive boundaries. Davids also helps himself to three boundaries in the over that costs Trinidad 22 runs.

The Titans captain hits a huge six over long on in Rampaul's second over. The ball hits the roof and even the batsman is in shock.
17:32

Trinidad: 188-6 (20 overs)

Davids returns to have Pooran (11) caught by Van der Merwe at deep midwicket.

Navin Stewart is the new batsman and he starts off with a six off Davids over long-on. However, De Lange returns to crash Bravo's defenses.
Bravo's 44-ball 63 was inclusive of five hits to the fence and four over it.

Captain Denesh Ramdin (6) doesn't survive for long, Morkel having him caught behind.

Stewart (23) hits a six off the first ball of the last over (bowled by De Lange) but the bowler has his revenge in the next, having him caught behind for his third wicket.

Titans, in fact have done well to restrict Trinidad to 188 for six. When Lewis and Bravo were batting in tandem it seemed a 200-plus score.
17:05

Trinidad: 145-2 (15 overs)

Van der Merwe finally provides Titans the much-needed second wicket. He has Evin Lewis (70) caught by Richards in the second ball off the 13th over.

Lewis's 35-ball knock was inclusive of seven hits to the fence and five over it and he helped Bravo add 109 runs (in just 64 balls) for the second wicket, a stand that laid the foundation of the Trinidad innings.

Nicolas Pooran is the new batsman and he starts off with a six off Wiese. Successive sixes in Van der Merwe's third over helps Bravo complete a well-deserved fifty.
16:48

Trinidad: 100-1 (11 overs)

The second wicket partnership between Bravo and Lewis is now worth more than 50 runs.

With all his bowlers getting a stick, captain Henry Davids comes in to bowl. Lewis welcomes him with a straight six. A boundary a couple of balls later helps him complete a well-deserved fifty (off just 21 balls).

In his desperation for that elusive second wicket, Davids also tries out Farhaan Behardien and Roelef van der Merwe but to no avail.
16:31

Trinidad: 59-1 (6 overs)

Darren Bravo gets into the groove with three boundaries in De Lange's second over.

Rowan Richards replaces an expensive Morkel (2-1-17-0) in the attack in the fifth over. Lewis takes him to the cleaners though, first hitting a six over deep backward point followed by a couple of boundaries.

It's a twin bowling change as David Wiese replaces De Lange (2-0-16-1) in the attack in the sixth over. He gives away 11 runs.
16:18

Titans won the toss and elected to bowl against Trinidad & Tobago in their Group B match of the Champions League Twenty20 at the Sardar Patel Stadium.

Titans fielded an unchanged side, while T&T are playing Samuel Badree and their seam attack is unchanged.
