17:47 India banking on spin against SA in semis:
The Indian team will be in a confident frame of mind when they take on South Africa in the second semi-final of the ICC World T20, in Mirpur, on Friday.
India, who won all their four matches in the Group Stages, will be looking to continue their impressive run in the tournament so far. They would also be hoping their spinners can do the trick yet again with R Ashwin and Amit Mishra posing the big threat for the Proteas.
South Africa have a handy spinner in leggie Imran Tahir but he has a tough task on hand against the strong Indian batting line-up, who have been traditionally strong against spin.
It would be interesting to see if India bring back regular Shikhar Dhawan, who was dropped from the last match due to poor form, or continue with makeshift opener Ajinkya Rahane.
The weather is expected to play a part with forecast for rain later in the evening.
On Thursday, Sri Lanka won the first semi-final via the Duckworth-Lewis method after heavy rain and hail stopped proceedings in the 14th over of the second innings.
