Malinga comes on to bowl his fourth and final over with the match fully and firmly in RCB's grasp. Parthiv steers the first ball past the point fielder for a couple before he lofts the next straight back over the bowler's head for a four.

Parthiv hits the winning run in sedate fashion as he takes a single to thirdman. He is all pumped all as he leaps and punches the air in delight.

Opener Parthiv finishes unbeaten on a superb innings of 57 from 45 balls,  while AB made 45 from 48 balls as the duo put on an unbroken stand of 99 runs from 82 deliveries.

Mumbai have a lot of soul searching to do after two poor outings -- losing both their matches comprehensively to KKR and RCB respectively.

Their batting looks completely in shambles and they will need major changes in the next match to overcome this problem.

In the second match of the day, Delhi Daredevils will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the same venue.

So, RCB jump to the top of the IPL standings with two victories, while Mumbai stay at the bottom with back to back losses.
