IPL Live! Maxwell, Miller help Kings XI thrash Royals by 7 wkts

A brilliant 45-ball 89 from Glen Maxwell and a flurry of sixes from David Miller has helped Kings XI Punjab register their second win in the IPL. 

In their second successful run chase for them, Kings XI chased down 192 runs with 8 balls to spare. 

Miller hit four sixes of Dhawal Kulkarni's final over, which effectively turned the game in Kings XI's favour. 

He then hit James Faulkner for a maximum, which the sealed the game.

In the end Miller was unbeaten on 51 in just 19 balls, while Cheteshwar Pujara was on on 40.

Kane Richardson provides a much-needed breakthrough for Royals as he removes Glen Maxwell for 89. 

Maxwell who clobbered all Royal bowlers skied one to Steven Smith, which ended his 45-ball knock. 

At the end of 15 overs, Kings XI were 132-3. Pujara is on 27, while David Miller is on 4.

Maxwell is in his prime form, hitting almost all the bowlers towards the boundary boards. 

With Pujara struggling at the other end, Maxwell is taking it upon him to fire Kings XI innings.

Glen Maxwell is turning the heat on Royals bowlers with his big hitting. 

Maxwell, who hit a brilliant 95 in the run chase against Chennai Super Kings, took on his country-mate James Faulkner, hitting him for two sixes. 

Maxwell took on Kane Richardson and leg-spinner Pravin Tambe hitting them for sixes. 

At the end of 8 overs, Kings XI were 60-2. Maxwell is on 38, while Cheteshwar Pujara is on 14.

Dhawal Kulkarni strikes a crucial blow for Rajasthan Royals as he removes dangerous Virender Sehwag for 2. 

Sehwag hit one straight to Stuart Binny. 

James Faulkner then had Wriddhiman Saha walking back, who was undone by a short one and was caught in deep by Dhawal Kulkarni for 2.

After Samju Samson's and Shane Watson's brilliant 50s, Steven Smith is leading the way with boundaries. 

Smith was severe on Balaji and hit him for three boundaries in the over. At the end of 18 overs Royals were 174-5.

Shane Watson finally departs after a fiery 28-ball 50 to give Rajasthan Royals much-needed momentum. 

Akshar Patel the beneficiary, who castled the skipper with an arm ball. 

Watson plundered 21 runs off the left-arm spin of Murali Karthik and then smoked a six off Parvinder Awana to race into his fourties. 

At the end of 14 overs, Royals were 131-3. Samson is on 40, while Stuart Binny is on 1.

Shane Watson is making the most of the life that he got, by hitting boundaries at will. 

Watson, who was dropped by David Miller, when he was on 12, smoked Balaji for a maximum and then hit him for a boundary the very next ball. 

Watto then repeated the feat off left-arm spinner Murali Karthik much to the liking of his fans.

Young batsman Sanju Samson has been at his impressive best, treating the bowlers with dismay. 

At the end of 12 overs Royals were 119-2. Watson is on 42, while Samson is on 38.

Muarli Karthik strikes a crucial blow with the first ball of his spell, removing Abhishek Nayar for 23. 

Nayar looked to sweep the left-arm spinner, missed the line of the ball and was caught right infront of his stumps.

Rahane has got his feet going with some clean hits in the previous over off Mithcell Johnson.

Abhishek Nayar, who is looking a bit rusty finally managed to get going with a brace through the legside. 

He then smoked Awana for a maximum through long-off.  

Royals lose their first wicket courtesy off a run-out. Nayar hit one straight to George Bailey and calls for run. 

But changes his mind and asks Rahane to go back. Skipper George Bailey doesn't miss the target as Rahane is run out by a mile. 

Royals were 22-1 after three overs.

Welcome to the update of the seventh game of the IPL between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. 

Kings XI pulled off a phenomenal run chase in their opening game against Chennai, while Rajasthan kept their cool to win the game. 

Kings XI have won the toss and have elected to bowl first. The Kings XI side are going in one change with Murali Karthik coming into the side, inplace of Rishi Dhawan. 

While Royals too have made one change to their side bringing in Steven Smith for an injured Brad Hodge.
