Murali Vijay got off the mark with three runs through the covers in the first over of the match.

Stuart Broad to bowl the second over with a visible scar on his nose and black eyes. He also gets good movement as Vijay manages to leave the six deliveries safely through to the keeper.

Cheteshwar Pujara gets off the mark with a single to the covers. Vijay is then beaten by the perfect outswinger from Anderson before he takes two runs through the off-side. Vijay is beaten off the fifth ball as the ball moves away past the outside edge of the bat.

Pujara has a close shave as he edges Broad but the ball falls short of Cook at first slip before he takes a single from the last ball to retain strike.
