LUNCH - DAY 1

India 43-5 (25 ovs) vs Eng | Scorecard

India's top and middle order has failed them yet again as the visitors struggle on 38 for five in 21 overs.

Stuart Binny gets off the mark with a single on the leg side and Dhoni retains strike with one from the last ball.

Binny plays a nice drive through the covers as Moeen Ali makes a good stop inside the ropes to keep it down to three.

Woakes gets the edge off Dhoni but it falls short of the slips in the last over of the session.

India are struggling on 43 for five in 25 overs at the lunch break on Day 1 with Dhoni on six from 29 balls and Stuart Binny on four from 11 balls.

Jordan took two wickets, while the other three pacers Anderson, Broad and Woakes claimed a wicket apiece.

India's horror show started in the very first over of the match when Gambhir was caught behind for a duck off Anderson. Pujara (4) and Kohli (6) continued their poor run with the bat, while Rahane was caught and bowled by Jordan.

Vijay (18), the only batsman to register double digit scores, was caught at gully off Woakes as India endured another horrible session with the bat, scoring just two boundaries in 25 overs of the morning session.
