Vijay falls for 18 to leave India in tatters

Once again, captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni left with a huge task with the bat with the top order failing to live up to expectations.

Woakes gets Vijay to edge the first ball but it falls safely on the off-side but Dhoni's edges goes through the slips for a four. The next ball is virtually unplayable, movement and extra bounce, and Dhoni must consider himself lucky not to have edged it.

After beating the bat several times, Woakes finally finds the edge as Vijay is caught by Root for 18. The edge went quickly to Root, who was wearing a helmet and stationed a bit closer than normal at gully.
