New Zealand win by 24 runs!!!

India 268 all out (48.4 ovs) vs NZ 292-7

Kohli hits century but India lose 123 (111b)

M McClenaghan shines with the ball 4-68

Anderson hit quickfire 68 and then claimed 2-51

McClenaghan did the damage with the ball, claiming four for 68 in 10 overs, including the key wickets of Dhoni and Kohli.

Kohli played a splendid innings of 123 from 111 balls, while Dhoni hit a fluent 40 but the rest of the batsmen failed to make sizeable contributions with the bat.

Infact, this was the first time that India had lost a match chasing after Kohli had scored a century!

Dhawan, Rohit and Raina -- all three fell to the short deliveries. While Dhawan got off to a start, hitting 32, Rohit struggled to get to grips with the conditions as he made just three from 23 balls to continue his poor recent run.

India will also need to rethink their team composition as the gamble of playing two spinners misfired as New Zealand were able to score freely in the middle overs.
