New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Bennett ends an impressive spell (10-2-41-2). Anderson has Shami (2) caught to complete a five-wicket haul.

A huge six off McClenaghan followed by a single helps Jadeja complete his fifty. India need 18 off the last over. They manage 17 and the game ends in a tie.

Jadeja remains unbeaten on a valiant 66, his 45-ball knock inclusive of five boundaries and four sixes.
14:22

India: 276-8 (46 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

India need 61 off the last seven overs.

A spectacular catch by Guptill ends Ashwin's (65) resistance in the 45th over, Nathan McCullum benefiting as a result.

Ashwin's 46-ball innings was inclusive of eight boundaries and a six and he helped Jadeja add 85 runs for the seventh wicket.

Bennett has Kumar (4) caught by Nathan McCullum.

It's even again.
14:02

India: 254-6 (43 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Ashwin and Jadeja are putting the New Zealand bowlers to sword now. With Anderson and McClenaghan getting a pounding, McCullum hands the ball to Southee. To no avail though.

The duo have added more than 50 runs for the sixth wicket, at more than a run-a-ball, taking advantage of the batting powerplay.

A boundary of McCullum helps Ashwin complete a well-deserved fifty.
13:35

India: 193-6 (37 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

The batting powerplay starts in the 36th over, with India on 177 for five. Anderson to bowl.

Dhoni smashes the third ball for a huge six over mid-off to bring up his 53rd ODI fifty.

However, the bowler has his revenge in the next ball, a spectacular catch by Southee sending the Indian captain back to the pavilion. It's all over for India now, one must admit.

It's Anderson's fourth wicket of the innings. What a series he is having.
13:06

India: 159-5 (30 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Nathan McCullum replaces McClenaghan (6-0-38-0) in the attack in the 27th over. He gives away four runs first up.

However, it is Tim Southee who strikes in what is his seventh over, having Raina (31) caught behind. Raina's 39 ball knock was inclusive of three boundaries and he helped his captain add 67 runs for the fifth wicket.

R Ashwin has been promoted ahead of Jadeja. It's an interesting move.
12:42

India: 130-4 (25 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

MS Dhoni and Raina are combining well for India here. Their fifth wicket partnership is now worth more than 50 runs, and it has come at more than a run-a-ball.

12:00

India: 77-3 (16 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Bennett's consistent pace and pressure on Kohli (6) finally yields the desired result when he has the Indian vice-captain caught behind.

It's a big wicket for New Zealand.

Suresh Raina joins Rahane at the crease.
11:50

India: 72-2 (14 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

After an expensive first over Bennett bowls two successive maidens.

The pressure tells on the Indian batsmen and Anderson benefits from it, having Rohit (39) caught by Bennett.

Ajinkya Rahane is the new batsman at the crease.
11:30

India: 66-1 (10 overs)
New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Corey Anderson replaces Bennett after just one over.

This 50-plus partnership by Rohit and Dhawan is the highest opening wicket partnership for the series.

However, just as we say that Guptill takes a spectacular catch to send Dhawan (28) packing, Anderson being the beneficiary.

Dhawan's 25-ball innings was inclusive of four boundaries and a six and added 64 runs for the opening wicket with Rohit.

Virat Kohli is the new batsman in the crease.

New Zealand: 314 (50 overs)

Nathan McCullum (1) is also run out. New Zealand's aggression might ensure they don't bat out their quota of overs. They are seven down with almost seven overs to go.

Jadeja then has Ronchi (38) caught by Rahane. Ronchi's 20-ball 38 was inclusive of three boundaries and three sixes.

Shami has McClenaghan (3) caught by Jadeja. He's unlucky not to have taken a second wicket in the over as Kumar puts down Southee. What more it costs the team a six.

Southee smashes the fourth ball of the penultimate over, bowled by Kumar, to the fence to help New Zealand get to the 300-run mark. He smashes the last ball of the over for a huge six.

Southee (26 not out) also smashes Shami for a six in the final over but is run out off the final ball.

Ronchi and Taylor are putting together a good little partnership (40 runs) here. The former, in particular, has been very aggressive. He's hit a six off Raina and two off Shami.

However, a direct hit by Rahane cuts short Taylor's (17) stay at the crease.

Corey Anderson has been promoted up the order, thanks to stupendous form. He walks in at number four, ahead of Ross Taylor, just ahead of the batting powerplay.

He begins with a huge six off Ashwin. However, the bowler cleans up Anderson (8) three balls later. Massive wicket this for India.

The batting powerplay starts in the 35th over and Guptill smashes the first two balls from Kumar to the fence to help his team get past the 200-run mark.

A single off Ashwin helps Guptill complete a well-deserved hundred, his fifth ODI ton.

Scorecard

New Zealand: 190-2 (33 overs)

A single off Ashwin helps Williamson complete his third half century of the series. It's three-in-three for him, after his 71 in Napier and 77 in Hamilton.

It is his ninth ODI fifty, third against India.

Shami is back to bowl in the 31st over. Williamson welcomes him with a boundary before Guptill smashes a huge six three balls later to ensure a longstanding record for the second wicket partnership for New Zealand against India is broken.

Shami goes for 15 in what was his fourth over. However, he strikes in his fifth over cleaning up Williamson (65).

Williamson's 74-ball innings was inclusive of four boundaries and a six and he helped Guptill add 153 runs for the second wicket, a partnership that has ensured a solid foundation for New Zealand.

India have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the third ODI against New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday.

It's a must-win game for the visitors with the home team leading the series 2-0, having won both the opening matches.

"Looks like a good wicket and won't change much," reasons captain MS Dhoni. It's an option his opposite number, Brendon McCullum, concurs with.

"We'd have a bowl first as well. But we are happy batting first," he says.

Both the teams have made a change apiece. Ishant Sharma makes way for Varun Aaron while New Zealand bring in Hamish Bennett as a replacement for Kyle Mills.
