- Scorecard

Both Cook and Ballance looking nicely settled as they continue to bat with much more ease than at the start of their innings.

Ballance steers Jadeja behind point for a couple and then edges one past the slip region for three runs followed by two singles as seven runs come from the over.

Shami replaces Jadeja and the move pays off as he claims the wicket of Ballance with the very first delivery. The left-hander comes forward to defend but the outswinger does him in and he edges behind to be caught by Dhoni for 27 after putting on 58 runs for the second wicket with Cook.

England's two most experienced batsmen are out in the middle as Ian Bell walks out to join captain Cook.

Bell gets off the mark with a single on the off-side before Cook lets the last two deliveries go through.

One wickets brings another! Bell is done in by one that keeps low and straightens a bit to crash into the stumps.

England lose two wickets in the space of seven deliveries to find themselves in trouble at 71 for three after 30 overs.
