STUMPS - DAY 4
Eng 105-4 (46 ovs) & 319 vs Ind 295 & 342 (Target: 319) - Scorecard

At stumps on Day 4, England finish on 105 for four in 46 overs, still needing 214 runs for victory.

Root (14) and Ali (15) survived a tense last hour in the post-tea session as the Indian bowlers made most of a pitch offering a lot of uneven bounce and spin.

Jadeja was India's star performer on Day 4 both with the bat and ball. He stroked a quickfire 68 from 57 balls, putting on 99 runs with Bhuvneshwar (52), who hit his third half-century in four innings in the series.

India finished on 342 in their second innings setting England a challenging target of 319 on a pitch getting increasingly difficult for batting.

Jadeja claimed the wicket of England opener Sam Robson (7) before Ishant left England reeling with the wickets of Cook and Bell.

India would be confident of claiming the remaining England wickets and complete a deserved victory on the fifth and final day.
